one thing i only notice worse and worse in the internet world, is that trans masc people (including ftm, demiboy, anything along that line) tend to really not practice what they preach. especially when it comes to trans women. it's beyond upsetting to me, especially having known these kinds of guys irl. they will praise trans women that only they can deem "acceptable," and then the rest are just evil ig??? it's so irritating. i need transmasc people to listen to GENUINELY listen to trans women. the thing that inspired this rant btw was the tadc fandom. (EP 9 SPOILERS, DELVING FURTHER INTO THE TOPIC:)

the way transmasc people keep trying to aggressively deny jax as a trans woman, and replace it with "oh hes ftm tho!!" is just honestly disgusting behavior. "but my headcanon!!! but, but my idea of this character!!" they are still not your character, and your headcanon does not dictate the writing of a story that YOU do not write. and the people who wanted nothing but punishment for jax's treatment of everyone instead, just do not understand the story that gooseworx was trying to tell. between everyone absolutely fucking dogpiling gooseworx over the course of this entire show's running, and now how people are justifying their behavior towards her, is disgusting. this fandom sickens me and i hate seeing how it's devolved over the years. you all need to respect the writing that has been laid out in this way since the beginning.

SO MUCH THIS. i have witnessed this happen so often and it is heartbreaking. transmasc issues are still valid ofc bc the whole community struggles entirely, but transmasc people have significantly more advantage than transfem people. and i mean this in a medical transition setting. and part of this definitely causes the divide, because some transmascs refuse to accept that truth. the misogyny that is rampant thru transmasc spaces is beyond vile and i am exhausted from it. between toxic masculinity, harassing trans women online if they're not "sanitized" enough, i sit here thinking to myself like "thank fuck i don't hang out with ppl like that anymore."
