As her parents headed to their room, Valerie felt her phone vibrating. She pulled her phone to see the text from Gage as she headed to her closet to pull out a pair of shoes. "Valerie." She heard her dad say, causing her to freeze before turning to face him. "Yeah, dad?" She asked with a smile. "Are you going somewhere?" He asked, gesturing to the shoes in her hands. Sighing, she set them down, slipped her feet in, "I was just uh, going to grab some study notes from Mallory.. I promise I'll be back in like ten minutes." She assured him, feigning innocence.

Three minutes of promising later, her dad finally headed off to bed and she was heading for the front door. Not bothering to grab a jacket, she headed outside and looked around for Gage's car. Spotting it finally, she waved before quickening her pace as she walked over. Stopping at the passenger door, she hesitated before pulling it open, "Hey." She said with a smile, "Sorry it took me a few minutes. My dad..." She trailed off, shaking her head, as she decided not to go into it. "Anyways, thank you."

Good you should- I have good taste in food, and most things. I will fully take that blame if that happens, and even buy you some Mcdonalds fries or something to compensate.

Would you recommend them? Because I think I’ve never had those before.

Fries, ice cream, a good bed and a glass of wine are all I need. And a heater, because no one wants to freeze to death.

Oh, definitely. You'll have to try them for yourself sometime but, I really like them.

That actually sounds like the perfect setup- I think I would be pretty content with that too.
