Type Treatments

that’s what Roberlan Borges from Vitoria, Brazil loves. As a illustrator and freelance graphic designer, he doesn’t only play with different tools or styles, he also treats typography the way it fits to the special theme of the artoworks. His favorite quote from Gerogia O’Keefe is:“I found that I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn’t say in any other way – things that I had no words for.” Inspired by the influences of vintage style, pop culture, music, cinema, games and politics, his artoworks are very detailed and interesting.

About typography he said to us: “I love and always been fascinated by typography since i started understanding things as a person and as artist, always grabbed my attention the shape of letters, the way they tell a story, send a message and communicate with the viewer, be it a street sign, a computer graphic or a doodle. In my work i try to feature this typography, always trying to not make it so ‘computer perfect’ with flaws and rough.”
