“I’m having fun, Garrett. You’re here, I have my drink -- and we’re dancing, it’s the perfect night.” She knew he was right, but Val always tried to see the good in everyone which was also her weakness. “You weren’t always an asshole, I mean you were nice to me. I can see your point though, even if I disagree with it. I’m the best kind, only one of me in the world.”

He lifted his hands to rest them in her hair. “You could get slightly buzzed and it’ll be really fucking cute. Then I’ll be forced to carry your ass home, but it’d be worth it if you’re at least having some fucking fun. Yeah, you kinda were. I was just always an extra fucking asshole. But hey, if that’s all I need to fucking do then I can for sure do that.”

“Who says I’m not having fun? I always have fun with you.” All of her experiences somehow involved Garrett. Hell, she’s pretty sure he’s the first person she ever drank with. “I’m always cute, okay well not always but you get what I mean. You weren’t always an asshole, I mean you had your moments but who doesn’t. Some people want the world, but not me.”

He was sure they were moving too slow for the song that was playing, but he was perfectly fine with just holding her in his arms. “Getting shit faced is never fun. But you can get a little drunk and it’ll be fucking fun. Even if you’re a married woman now. I’m sure you will be. Makes it really fucking easy to impress you.”

Now she’s not even sure why she wanted to go to a club, they could have easily done this at a bar. “Okay, a little drunk sounds good to me. That’s what happens when you’ve been with someone for so long, though I’m sure I’ve always been easy to impress. I just need you, everything else doesn’t really matter to me.”

Valencia hummed softly, her head resting against Garrett. “I think I’m good, besides I’m a married woman now. Getting shit faced is so single life, and even then it wasn’t fun. I know, but even if you don’t I’m still going to be happy.”

“Well, I get real fucking angry when I drink so I prefer to have some control over my actions. You can get wasted to your little heart’s content though. I’ll be there to take care of your hungover ass in the morning. Yes, really. I will fucking dance with you.”

“Dance? Spend money? Fuck. Do I have to pay for all the drinks? I ain’t get a paycheck this week. Mostly ‘cause I didn’t make any shit for the gallery, but still. I’m broke as fuck right now. Then again, I am married. Mi casa es su casa and shit. Actually, nah, I’m just fucking with you. I don’t gotta drink. I’ll dance with you though.”

“Who said you’re paying for all the drinks? Normally I’d say you should drink with me, but considering how wasted I’m probably going to get that’s a good idea. Maybe I won’t get drunk, being hungover fucking sucks. Really? I thought I’d have to convince you to dance with me.”
