This last episode of attack on titan was amazing, the music, the tone, and the chilling moment when Reiner starts transforming. I had to pay some homage some how, I know its not the best drawing but wanted to give it a go.

Boku no Hero Academia - Anime -

I just finished  Boku no Hero Academia and I LOVED IT, its one of those animes that leaves you with a good exciting feeling after every episode. It is also one of those animes that really pumps you to work out.

The premise of the show is rather simple you have our main character Midoriya, Izuku who lives in a world where 80% of the population is born with super powers or as the show calls it, with “quirks”, but Midoriya is in the 20% and doesn’t get any powers. The first couple of episodes are about his struggles of living in a world where everyone has powers apart from him. 

Later he meets his super hero idol and he offers him something special, wont go into spoil territory. The story is good, the animation is awesome but its the feels that really make Boku no Hero Academia a great anime. The first season is only 13 episodes, so you can binged watch it all on a weekend (like I did). The second season will be airing this March! 

It’s very fast paces so you will be hooked from episode one! Let me know if you guys like it and if you have any recommendations leave me a comment or a msg.

Leap Day - Game-

You love pixel art, colorful screens and retro gaming? Then Leap Day is just for you! I started playing this game on my commute to work the other day and feel in love with the game. Its a fast paced action platformer where the goal of the game is very simple, reach to the top while collecting as many fruit as you can.

Each level is separated into different floors where the difficulty is increased with each higher floor. In each floor you have a checkpoint where you can use by spending 20 of the fruits you have collected or... by watching a 15 second ad. What I ended doing was just watching the ads since the higher you go in the level the less fruits you find. 

In Leap Day you are going to die a LOT but its OK. Its a bit like Meat Boy where the reason you die is not the games fault it’s yours, but that doesn’t put you off it just fuels you with frustration to complete the level. It is a very addictive game that I totally recommend if you are into simple retro games

Life After -Podcast-

I love podcasts, listen to them wayyyy before #Serial, I actually started with #WelcometoNightvale. Ever since I’ve been fascinated with the way radio shows/podcasts can tell a story. Its a very different medium than video and since they only have audio to work with, they have to put more effort in voice acting and writing. Life after (A.K.A life.af/ter) is a science fiction thriller about a man, Ross, who lost his wife, Charlie,  in a car accident and has become obsessed with her voice clips. After 8 months of her accident he starts receiving new voice messages from his dead wife. He has to figure out if this is real or if he is going crazy.   I suggest you listen to the first episode and give it a try. After the first episode I was hooked and ended up binge listening to the 10 episode. I loved it all and kept me on my toes for all 4 and a half hours. The ending was brilliant but did leave me wanting a bit more so hopefully there will be a second season.  It currently has a 4 start rating on iTunes which to me is a well deserved rating I will link to the show and to the first episode so you can give it a try.  First Episode [Pop Up Window]

lofi hip hop - Music

So lately I got recommended this live stream on youtube by youtube for studying and relaxing. Oddly at the time I was studying and the playlist I was listing to was annoying so I gave it a try. 24 hours later I’ve become some what obsessed with this type of music. Last night I played #PathofExile for HOURS  (was taking a break from studying) just listening to this music and it made it much more enjoyable. Comics Explained - Video -

So if you were to ask me if I was into super hero comics I would most likely say no, not that I don’t like them, I’m just not that into them. I mean I love the Marvel films they are good fun. But when it comes to Marvel or DC comics I’m just not that into them, not enough to buy or read them,  but I do enjoy watching or hearing explanations about them.

 A couple of months ago a friend of mine recommend me a YouTube channel called ComicsExplained so I gave it a try and I’m a big fan now of the channel. The channel is run by Robert Jefferson who with his great enthusiasm explains whole arcs of comics series in 20-30 min videos. You might think the length of the videos are long and they are but that’s a good thing, the way Robert explains and talks is really entertaining and always leaves you wanting to watch the next part. 

I’m currently obsessed with his Injustice series - and arc where superman goes bad. His series about Red Sun where Superman is born in Russia instead of America is also very good. If you are even slightly interested in super heroes and comics give the channel a try.
