He's not sure if the people in charge of this place are intending to make use of hid abilities at some point or not; it would seem really dumb to seal them if they wanted him to do something but no one's given him any instructions other then a vaguely threatening 'don't ruin the architecture' that he's ignoring. He only assumes they might want him to do something because, well, he apparently has money and a place to stay. Money is recognizable as such and the key implies lodgings even if it's confusing.
Deidara is not at all sure what to make of the thin box that glows. It's just weird so he sticks it in a pocket of his clay pouch for later.
A little asking polite questions of the locals gets him a rundown of how the money works and which is worth what (courtesy of an older lady he sweet talks by being as wide eyed and confused as possible) and directions toward the housing district marked on his key. Along with a heartfelt hope he gets along with his roommate.
That might not be so bad. He's spent enough time living with the other Akatsuki members to get along with other people well enough. He can play nice. When he wants to.
After finding the villa that's apparently part his (which is way nicer then anywhere he's ever stayed in his entire life honestly) Deidara lets himself in and starts poking around.
"Damn, at least they gave us a nice place to live, un. Guess dying isn't so bad after all, yeah. It would be nice if they told us what we were here for right off the bat though, instead of making us wait to figure it out, un."
@valeriius
Valerius is in the midst of preparing tea when the door swings open, revealing an unfamiliar young man engaged in animated self-dialogue and meandering about as if he owns the place. He regards him with a puzzled yet cautious gaze, and it appears the stranger remains oblivious to his presence, thoroughly absorbed in scrutinizing the surroundings as if assessing merchandise. As Valerius tunes into the kid's utterances, he comes to a certain realization.
The dreaded roommate.
Charming.
Will the lad persist in such behavior? Constantly conversing with himself when he could easily internalize those thoughts? Their personalities are already in sharp opposition with Valerius composed and quiet while the other male explores and indulges in a self-invested monologue. It doesn't require a keen intellect to see that the likelihood of them getting along is quite low.ย The fates certainly have a twisted sense of humor. Carefully, Valerius places the teapot down onto the clean surface of the counter before making his way to the blondโ internally cautious but visibly cordial.
โI surmise you're the latest addition to my living arrangements.โ He says, eyeing his new roommate down. Heโs a lot shorter than from where the prince was standing a few seconds ago, but Valerius knows better than to underestimate anyone just because of the stature they were born with. โI trust our future interactions will prove to be agreeable.โ
