Joui4 things and HCs
I need to put out before I lose myself in the joui pit:
Gintoki:
- he's def. a soloist compared to others... doesn't really have an army?
- zura and sugi would ask their comrades to follow gintoki and he hates it
- utilizes most weapons compared to others, except explosives,
- probably gets the most bloody post-battle
- doesn't follow plans (makes zura/sugi annoyed)
- why does gintoki wear white? is he making an easy target?
- a really reckless guy in general, adrenaline kind of guy
- he can match everyone's speed which makes real good teamwork especially with joui
Katsura:
- he's so good when in command, always have backup plans to retreat
- makes sure everyone is able to retreat/ makes sure he doesn't lose men very well
- don't make him pissed (everyone's scared even ginchan)
- zura's sword style is so clean, elegant, compared to others, he is textbook samurai
- joui zura prefer katanas to preserve his samurai soul when in battle, but when in planning he uses bombs to distract
- zura and tatsuma fight when it comes to plans, because their approach is different
- zura's is mostly technique when it comes to slicing down opponents, compared to sugi/gin
Sakamoto:
- there's not much notes when it comes to sakamoto's fighting style tbh, but he's mostly in lookout and command?
- imo his accuracy > power, so he is mostly working on the back
- but despite his bad investment schemes I think he's just too nice to decline offers, but has really good intuition in tactics n strategy
- reckless but everyone has his back
- brings a lot of things battle, medical kits and mini weapons, and he's fully armored
- strong and tall, good when it comes to hand combat, comfortable with other weapons than katanas(?)
- he always have everyone's back (a really good support)
Takasugi:
- katana guy at most, he's like zura
- gets battle-crazed sometimes, especially if gin challenges hiim
- good at commanding soldiers, and most levelheaded compared to everyone. just a little chuunibyou that is all (he's 17)
- he's so modern and fashionable.. (look at joui and postjoui fit. its so fancy compared to all of them) + kihetai weapons are advanced at their time
- gin doesn't sync well with sugi as well as with zura. they're more on on their own thing. which makes them the best? they cross paths often though

@idak04 happy holidays, i was your @natsume-ss this year! you mentioned liking the dogs' circle's antics so here they are (with a few friends) all tuckered out after a long day of fun and games ❤️
i hope you like it, and have a happy new year!! 💖
and hilariously that is not why it is called that.
It is the circle of the bears cause of ursa major and ursa minor, and the circle without bears cause ya'know opposite part of the sky.
We lucked right into that one....
#so what you’re saying is#the stars dictate whether bears do or do not exist in places
Astrology is real but only for predicting where bears will be
Bears do not travel to places they cannot see their gods
I've seen this post before but it only just occurred to me that there might be some sort of underlying reason that "places where bears are" and "places where people name stars after bears" overlap.
Reblogging for that last comment.
Happy New Year; treat me well this year too! I made a calendar for January -- I'll be thrilled if you use it as your phone wallpaper~

I feel like a bad guy, even though I haven't done anything. I feel sick. Am I doing something wrong?
always thankful for Tsuda Kenjirou
[Clip of Soranome pointing at Nastume and saying "What if he's a bad guy?" Natsume flinches. He then points at Nyanko-sensei and says "Wow, what a pain." and Nyanko-sensei also flinches.
WHAT⁉️⁉️⁉️
"It's probably the path Natori-san gave up on. The one Reiko-san wanted to follow, but couldn't."
Ever since the Omibashira arc I've wanted to know what those turning points were for Natori and Reiko that made them abandon attempts to connect with others. It's great to finally see what must be that for Reiko. (Will we ever get Natori's?)
The whole thing with Souko must've made Reiko ultimately close up. (She did meet Natsume's grandpa, but were they close? Was there love? Reiko died alone anyway.)
The first time, probably, that Reiko had something akin to a friend, the first time she allowed herself a sliver of trust and hope that maybe, just maybe, someone could like her the way she was. And, because of all that, it couldn't have been anything but the last, after Souko didn't show up again. It didn't have to take much at all to convince Reiko that she was unwanted, and that any hope was vain.
Another insight gently pointed out by Midorikawa - how people traumatised by isolation and ostracism, people with trust issues, are quick to make conclusions in favour of their mistrust, creating self-fulfilling prophecies. Had Reiko waited just a little longer, she would've met Souko again...
Not to give up on friends so easily; to give them second chances; not to leave without hearing each other out.
Reiko left, and chased the phantom warmth of her playtime with Souko by duelling with youkai.
(Now I see a parallel with Natori there, who cut others off and became an actor for the cheap thrill of adoration.)
