I have now finished Ranked Competitive Breast Growth.
It is a very "Dump Your Puppygirl" story, I'm not gonna lie to you.
The ending is still eating at me. The sheer difference in Rashmi and Katherine's endings and the way I've seen the audience, potentially even the narrative, try to frame it like Kathy only has herself to blame is...
It's kinda fucked up.
#ranked competitive breast growth#Kathy feels like she's on track to suicide at the end of this story#And I hate that it's treated like she did wrong by Rashmi by getting back together with Nichole.#Rashmi never actually said she wanted to be with her#Never indicated that their relationship was actually real to her in any meaningful sense#Continued to affirm that what she had with Rupali is something Nichole (and therefore Kathy) could never have with either of them#Something Rupali also made clear while she was bullying Kathy#Of course 'You want to be Rashmi' isn't going to be read as an olive branch#Of course that just reads as more gloating#And I don't even blame Rashmi or Rupali for this#They are correct that the thing they have together is something unique and permanent#that Kathy and Nichole do not have the prerequisites for having with anyone on account of they're white and from secular backgrounds#But neither of them ever said to Kathy that being with Rashmi while Rashmi is with Rupali was actually on the table#People are saying Kathy is monogamous but we don't actually know that#We never get the chance to find that out#What we know is that Rashmi hinted that she wanted Kathy to make a move sexually#(Itself kind of fucked up given what Kathy has been through recently)#And then revealed that she always secretly hated Kathy but that she doesn't anymore#And then Kathy took Nichole back because everything up to this point has told her no one else actually wants her#Like#Where's the fucking bit here where it's reasonable to expect Kathy to think staying with Rashmi is an option?#Where's the bit here where every element of Kathy's life isn't actively telling her she's good for sex at best#and that Nichole is the only one who wants her?#How is Kathy the one breaking Rashmi's heart?#How is this Kathy 'pushing everyone away' like she isn't desperately trying to hold on to anyone or anything that wants her?#And Rashmi doesn't owe her a relationship#Doesn't owe her forgiveness for lashing out at Rupali#But it's fucked up to pretend like she loved her#Like she loved Kathy and Kathy threw it all away#If she fucking loved her she would have said something
