It’s sixteen years into the millennium, how does that make you feel?
The world is as strange as it’s always been but more exposed than ever.
Our attention spans have shrunk immensely while the amount of content we process daily has done the opposite. This results in negligence of the beauty and potential around us all of the time. We end up seeking out the type of satisfaction that comes quickly, easily, but then disappears. I get the feeling that we aren’t as connected to ourselves and the people we love as we could be. Let’s be real, we spend a lot of time fucking around with the superficial. I think we’ve done it enough to know what’s good for us now, and it’s time to head in that direction.
In 2015, I came face to face with intense situations and people that made me realize how important it is to trust our intuition, stay connected to all parts of ourselves, and never be controlled by our fears. Sometimes that means allowing yourself to be vulnerable. Being vulnerable means taking the chance that things won’t go the way you wished and maybe you get ripped up a little bit, but when the worst is over there is always a deeper sense of self that washes over us and a whole lot of growth. Allowing yourself to feel is the greatest gift you can give yourself. We’re only human, we’re supposed to feel things. Regret comes only when you cease to act upon your intuition. Life goes on and you and your problems are still just a tiny part of the Universe. Nothing is as big of a deal as you think it is and now you just carry more wisdom.
This year, we can put everything we’ve learned into motion. Stop making useless comparisons and lazy choices, stay true to your higher self. You’ve heard it before but it’s something that can be learned over and over again in different ways. When we feel good, we spread light. It’s as simple as that. Do what you love every day. Spend more time with people you love. Fuck the things and the people that drag you down. You know what’s good for you.
Expect our first full-length album this year with lots of little surprises along the way. We’re working extremely hard to bring you a record full of songs that we know you’ll connect with. Music is truly the most beautiful language and we’re grateful every day that we get to process our experiences into songs for you. Stay tuned. Reach out.
