He tilted his head, giving a small nod to signify that it was okay. He knew the horrifying feeling that came with being confronted, so he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. "...No problem. Just be careful... The nicest people don't wander around at night."
「☠」→ “I do not apologize for my actions if I won’t mean it. I don’t have the patience or tolerance to deal with anyone who gets upset over something simple like bumping shoulders. But I suppose life enjoys making me miserable and a generally sour person with all the shit it throws at me. No helping that, huh?” Ryusei gives a small shrug. He’d rather fall asleep in the middle of a theater that plays some trendy, substance-devoid, heavily CGI-ed movie than socialize. There was enough socializing to be done during the day time. “Anyone can also leave without an apology, anyways. You’re not obligated to—it’s some silly societal rule people have to uphold for the sake of ‘politeness’. Why be merciful and pleasant towards people you do not know?”
"I didn't get upset over bumping shoulders, I got upset over the fact that you called my rick angry cat, when I can't help it. I hiss when I get anxious... And since I hadn't been anticipating this run in, I got anxious when it happened." Yeah -- they could at least see eye-to-eye on that case. Though he'd much rather be sleeping in his coffin than watching a poorly CGI-ed movie as opposed to socializing.
"You don't know what one apology could do to someone's day..." His voice got gradually quieter, subsiding into a barely audible mumble halfway through the sentence.

Kyle was patrolling the outside of the aquarium, making sure there weren't any people lingering this late at night. Checking his phone (which had the classic vampire-esce background), he glanced at the time. It would be his break soon, but all he really wanted to do was go home and sleep. It was all he ever really wanted to do anyways. Spotting someone, he perked up slightly, grabbing his flashlight and shining it on the other so he could get a good look. "...Sorry, you're not supposed to be out here... The aquarium is closed... you're on company property..." Standard things to say.
"M-maybe they don’t k-know you are one."
"True, but even after you request a cup of blood, they criticize you... I wonder if that's how minorities felt in the heavily racist days..."
「☠」→ “An ad hominem? Is that all you can come up with?” Ryusei made a fist, his knuckles cracking from the action. “They make poor counters. Really, I think even correcting my verbal grammar would have been more effective. If only slightly.” What was he saying? Ryusei was never, in his life, good with words. It was all fists (and for the majority of his un-life, fangs,) or him. The perks of hanging with the wrong crowd. "So are you going to take everything back, or will you continue to tread on dangerous territory? I’m warning you: I have no problem lifting you up by the ankle, crushing it, and stealing whatever the fuck you’re carrying there."
Wow, what a total prick. There was definitely anger boiling in the pit of his stomach, but as always, he withheld it. It wasn't worth it -- if he were to lose control he would feel ill with himself for quite some time -- he'd be no better than the people whom pushed him to this point. "Every person has their own way of speaking. I wasn't criticizing you for that, I was criticizing you for the blatant disrespect you were carrying towards my verbal patterns without first inquiring why I spoke that way. I was in the process of apologizing, but I have no further duty to apologize past bumping into you, for it is not my fault that you decided to mock me, then get angry when I corrected you."
Really, he didn't want violence. He just wanted to move on with his day (or night, really), get to his job, and get back home before sunrise. He was a simple man, really -- this was all too taxing on his stress already. "Apologize and we can both move on with our lives."
"They really should have more options at cafes and what not for vampires..."

Kyle was on his break from his job, now sitting in the cafe near the aquarium. It was around 1:00 AM at this point, and he had a good thirty to forty minutes to blow. There weren't many other people here, but he was sitting close to one of the other few people that were here. Clearing his throat, he glanced over awkwardly, deciding to ask him the question he was going to ask the waitress. "...Do you think they serve blood here if you ask?" Not that he could really stomach the stuff, but whatever. It was all he really ate anymore.
「☠」→ A night out of the four or so walls of his house sounded like a great idea. Ryusei was a street rat and an outdoors man at heart, so going out gave him some peace of mind. Keyword: some. The reaper’s always troubled, no matter what kind of solace he offered himself. His mostly-silent stroll was interrupted by a concealed figure, imitating a defensive cat in the vocal department. Ryusei eyed him, keeping his back turned, hands buried in pocket. “I don’t speak ‘angry cat’ or in the ‘pissed in his/her pants’ dialect. If you’re going to apologize, do it in a language I understand.”
While he hadn't been defensive earlier, the tone and words set him off, and his gaze shifted to something close to a glare, but not exactly. A mix of mild discomfort and anger, really. "It's not angry cat, you disrespectful swine..." A quiet mutter escaped his lips, his voice heavy and monotonous, but it carried a small undertone of aggravation.
His cold, clammy hand reached up to rub awkwardly at his own neck, clawing at the back of it slightly, aggravated and equally fearful of the other. His mind was racing and he slightly wished he could find the words to tell this guy off.

The sun was completely set at this point, which meant that it was safe for Kyle to go outside. Well, in theory, of course. Sticking to the vampire story. He still remained covered up heavily, though, in case of any flashes of bright light. He was walking with his gaze cast down, tongue running over his sharp, shaved to shape canines. Everyone knew him here -- he shouldn't be anxious. Nobody would approach him -- try to speak to him. He just had to run to the store and run out, no big deal. A midst his thoughts, a small hiss escaped his throat as he brushed against another, awkwardly swinging around to look at him, another anxious hiss escaping his throat as he tried to form something akin to apology. All that came out was a jumbled mess of syllables, though.
