So for pride month I have a semi-annual tradition of drawing a character based off the aroace flag (specifically a tropical beach diva bc the flag’s colors remind me of a sunset lol)

I got another oc to add to my 2000s-verse, meet Donavan (or Donnie/Don for short)

He’s your typical stoner that hangs under the bleachers, a pretty cool dude to be around (even if he isn’t the smartest, at least book-wise)

He definitely looks the most unique design wise (for his pose I used a wiggly line as a reference to get the posture right), I’ll probably put him on Artfight eventually

Also he’s based off Jay from the Kevin Smith cinematic universe

So I’ve been thinking about possibly redesigning Meg (and maybe Dex) for the 500th time now lol

I’m not putting her in Vicki and Maxwell’s universe, but I know she’ll have the same style and will most likely be aged up a bit

Edit: not sure if I’ll make her an ORIGINAL oc or keep the pre established story and what not

Just a heads up Vicki and Maxwell are not meant to be couple, I don’t plan on having them get together and I’d advise to not ship them (I doubt I can really control what other people do but just smt I wanted to share)

Why? It’s just because there isn’t a lot of M/F duos that are friends and friends only, usually they’re friends but since they’re a guy and and girl they just HAVE to get together because why the hell not (which yeah sometimes the romance can work depending on how it’s written, but on the other hand it just tends to be pointless). As for an in universe explanation, they just aren’t into each other romantically and given how they practically grew up together, see each other as surrogate siblings so it would just feel weird for them to decide to get together (plus one of the two’s aroace, not sure whether it’s Vicki or Max but one’s aroace and the other’s bi)

I decided to give Max a bio alongside Vicki (idk if I’ll post him on art fight just yet or if I’m gonna have to draw him more first)

I should really make a comic or smt with these characters, they just interest me a lot

I decided to give Vicki a partner in crime, meet Maxwell! (Or Max, he doesn’t really care)

All you need to know about Max (for now at least) is that he’s kind of a jerk (I’d say like a less extreme version of Master Shake from ATHF, because Max is actually decently nice to a handful of people)

Also fun fact: his skin tone is a slightly altered version of Murdoc’s (back before he was completely green lol)
