“The bastard twins that thundered throughout the halls of Storm’s End were Baratheons, no doubt, though they bore the surname Storm as a result of their father’s foray with Lady Delena Florent, the mother they never knew. The boy, Edric, had been born first and in him there was no question of which house he’d belonged. Thick black hair, a strong, prominent jaw, and deep blue eyes all attributed the child to the Lords of Storm’s End and Lord Paramounts of the Stormlands, and his twin sister was no different. Her hair was black as coal with a streak of white that began near the end of her left brow, a feature she believed greater proved her a Baratheon than the name itself. She also bore the characteristic blue Baratheon eyes, with hers sporting a deep navy ring that outlined the bright irises. With a ruddy, pinkish complexion, a healthy flush more often than not spread across her rounded cheeks and pointed nose, whether it be due to her meddling about the castle or her natural blush. Tall and full-figured, Bellenda drew many comparisons to King Robert in his later years, though she carried large, rounded breasts that added to her curvaceous shape and created a more flattering image than that of the gluttonous, fat king that sat upon the Iron Throne. Her shapely figure was said to draw many a suitor’s eye, but it would be her boisterous and lively personality that would keep them entranced. Perhaps due to her bastard status, Bellenda found no need to adhere to the pretentious, courteous standards of ladyship that her contemporaries followed, and was said to follow her heart so completely that she’d be given the name “The Daring Doe of Storm’s End,” although she paid no mind to any name or title she was bestowed, often preoccupied the hunting parties and aimless hikes alongside her brother. As much as she strayed from the path of a lady, Bellenda had every intention of one day sitting alongside her brother as the Lady of Storm’s End and Lady Paramount of the Stormlands, a dream Edric shared with her. As close as any siblings could be, though not as audacious as the Targaryens of centuries past, they saw a future for themselves in which they ruled the Stormlands as the legitimized bastards of King Robert I Baratheon, leaving their half-siblings and the rest of their family to play the game of thrones as they weathered the storms that could befall them as consequence.”

im going to yap about s3 hotd premiere because i have been in such a weird mental state since it aired LMAO i need to air my thoughts
can we talk about how they removed aegon and viserys from the gullet oh my god. i've never been a huge fan of jace, i mean hes there i guess, but to make his death so unmeaningfull and honestly pointless!! i was sad about his death, but for the reason of how it was shot, it was a beautiful scene ughh and i really loved vermax and seeing him die broke my heart. but its hard to feel sad for a characters death when he's kinda done a whole lot of nothing for the past two seasons, no character arcs or anything. so i never formed an attatchment to his character i fear.
the excuse for there being no egg and vis at the gullet from the writers is the age of them in the show. well who's fault is that... sitting here wondering how they will make aegon and viserys' story be anything close to what went down in the gullet. it's completely erasing so much lore and character arcs for both boys😭😭
making rhaena pull up on sheepstealer to pass the blame onto her for not being able to control her wild dragon she claimed 5 minutes prior omg the mess of the house of misunderstandings.
other then that, i liked the episode for what it is, since season two i've told myself to just seperate it from the source, and when i do that, i do enjoy it. the battle scene was really well done, i loved seeing moondancer and vermax be so in sync and fight. I love love loved the use of speaking valyrian too, it was so beautiful to hear.
i also LOVE sheepstealers design hes so fucking cute. and although we are losing out on nettles, i cant bring myself to hate the fact rhaena has bonded with him. she's wanted a dragon her whole life and i think they pair well together. sheepstealer has always been a sorta "outcast", wild and alone (im sure he preferred it that way) but i think that relates well to rhaena. she's never really fit in with her family, without a dragon she has always felt helpless, especially when she's sent away with rhaenyras children because the hard truth was she had no dragon to contribute to their cause😭 it was stupid of her to go into battle with a wild dragon, ofc. but i can't fully blame her, she saw her grandfathers fleet on fire, and she FINALLY had the oppurtunity to help. no rhaena or sheepstealer slander in my house!!!!!!!!!!! the amount of hate im seeing on her is so sad☹️
going back to aegon and viserys, the writers should've casted the children as the right age from the beginning, i'm not sure what made them make the choice to cast them as toddlers? im just very confused atm on the route they're going with it all, if viserys never gets kidnapped at the gullet = no larra rogare = no aegon or naerys = no dany,,..? maybe im overthinking that😭 im sure they will make up some other weird storyline for that to happen, but even so, the easier route would've just been dealing with the fact you casted 3 year olds and go with the right story....alas im excited for ep2 and to see rhaenyras reaction to jace and to see more rhaena because she has become one of my fav characters :p

i made her with the intention of her being a self insert, but i cannot make real people in the sims for the life of me let alone myself, so she is just an oc.she still resembles me in some way, green eyes and blonde hair, her personality. but apart from that she is just calla!!
her house, house flores, was established after the conquest after aegon the conqueror rewarded a stable boy who saved one of lord tyrells sons during an attack with some land and a minor title in the reach. because of that, house flores is considered a very new house by westerosi standards.
the first flores was originally a flowers, a bastard, but when he was granted his lands and title he changed his surname from flowers to flores, which eventually became the name of the house.
(i still find it kinda silly that this is the backstory i came up with for them 😭 but idc, i think it gives them some depth. and the fact their founder was a bastard is something that still follows the family 100+ years later)
over the years house flores built its wealth through sheep farming, selling and trading wool across westeros and even into essos. by the dance era theyre one of the richest houses in the reach, but because of their origins and how relatively new they are, a lot of older noble houses still look down on them.
because of that, marrying people off has always been a bit of a challenge. the big exception was callas father, alistar, who managed to marry a redwyne. most previous lords of house flores either married into minor noble houses or married for love.
and ofc the main reason i made her was for her to eventually marry aegon 🤗 im still trying to figure out how that actually happens...almost a year after making her 😭 the only piece of lore thats stayed consistent is her house origins, and how she meets aegon. everything else keeps getting changed because i decide i dont like it, it's too cliche, doesnt make sense, etc etc. (for example: callas father had two sisters that were twins, i deleted one because there was just too many people to deal with😭a reason why i keep callas family so small. you can count all members on one hand)
currently im writing a fanfic that will absolutely never see the light of day, but im doing it for myself so i can finally settle on some solid lore and major events instead of changing everything every other month when i remember calla exists.

matarys doesn't really look like a typical targaryen. his father, king aeryn, was half martell and inherited more dornish features from his father maeron martell than valyrian ones, while his mother was jocelyn lannister. because of that, he has darker blonde hair and green eyes instead of the usual silver and purple.
(his father, king aeryn as a prince) recently deleted loads of screenshots so i have none of him in adulthood😐
he became king at just 12 after his father's death. his mother had died giving birth to him, so he grew up without either parent. so for the first years of his reign, the realm was ruled by regents, with his uncle lancel lannister quickly becoming the most influential person in his life
matarys was a sweet kid when he was crowned. shy, and desperate for guidance after losing the only parent he knew. his father had raised him to believe women could rule just as well as men, and even pointed to his own mother and matarys' grandmother, queen naerys as proof
but aeryn died when matarys was young and impressionable, and the men around him filled that space instead. over time lancel and the regents reshaped what he believed, until much of what his father taught him was gone.
at 15, matarys married aelyna velaryon, his childhood betrothed, to renew the alliance between their houses. soon after, she gave birth to a daughter, princess daena, but died a few days later, and matarys was heartbroken. he truly loved aelyna. after her death he spiralled, drinking, disappearing into taverns and brothels. people started to call him "the boy king" not just because he became king young, but because he never really grew out of the recklessness that followed his first queens death.
eventually, lancel, now matarys' hand, stepped in. matarys was almost 20, ruling in his own right, and still without a son. his half sister rhaenyra had recently been widowed not long after marrying. the solution was simple: marry them. in hopes that it would reel matarys in and calm him down.
matarys resisted at first. he loved rhaenyra, but only as brother should love a sister, and swore he would not marry again. but the pressure never stopped, with succession and the lack of a male heir, eventually he gave in.
their marriage produced twin sons: daemon and aegon, and it secured the succession, but it was never the life either of them would have chosen. later they moved to dragonstone, partly to escape court, and to try and keep matarys in check in a smaller environment. hoping that the court of dragonstone would calm matarys down, it did not..
i wouldnt really say matarys is a good person, but his faults are heavily shaped and caused by the people who raised him. he spends most of his life being told what to do while holding the most power in the realm, and as long as his councillors word it carefully he still thinks the decision is his own. he’s a lot easier to influence than he realises, and basically ends up being told what to do by whoevers around him. puppet king tbh
i would love to post lore on my ocs but i honestly wouldn't know where to begin... they are born into my game and as they age i just sorta make up a story for them based on the relationships they form and their personalites (and screenshots)
that being said, rheanyra is a closeted lesbian who somehow got talked into marrying her widowed half brother because the adults around her looked at the situation, and somehow concluded that was the best option. but hey at least she's queen! ...which would mean a lot more if matarys wasn't a sexist little mf who lets the people around him make every decision for him as long as they phrase it in a way that makes him think it was his idea 😇
