The Vampire Lestat adaptation

Probably most controversial take:

I found Sam's performance terribly off-putting this season. Like over-the-top unbelievable. No shade to the actor, I am fairly convinced it was the direction, given his ability to perform nuanced emotions in the past. The powerhouses of this season are Delainey and Assad. No question.

The quote is in the appendices (extras) for The Fellowship of the Ring, which I have watched probably as many times as I've watched the movies xD.

What is your favourite Alastor quote, and why?

"Salutations!" is very much to my liking. I was in the habit of using it as a greeting at one point in my life, which gives it a touch of personal nostalgia.

"You should know better than anyone what a soul can accomplish when they take charge of their own fate." This perspective in life is inspiring in general, but used as a taunt to belittle someone gives it that double edged delight.

"Ha ha! Poetry!" I think it's an adorable exclaimation.

"Hm! Well! That’s a lot less hot" Alastor using hot for killing gives insight about how his sexual attraction works and I love that. He's a certified sicko (affectionate).

"Of course sweetheart, everyone is welcome here." Now and then Alastor says something so genuine and inviting it's lovely. I expected more warmth in season 2's script from him, and I wonder about the reason they gave him no intimate lines or interactions, if that indicates his suffering, combined with being uncared for, is bringing out his coldness.
