Leona Davis has lived in the best of both worlds. Her father is a Muggle parliament member, and her mother is the Head of the Department of Education in the French Ministère de la Magie. She makes a good candidate for the Tournament, with her devil may care attitude and the fact that she comes across as a daredevil, after her attack and subsequent turning into a vampire.

Leona Davis was bred in the best of both worlds. Her parents were busy people, working in high places. But they had always wanted Leona, and hence the little girl also got swept into their work. Whether it was an image thing, or the fact they wanted her to see the real world was something that had never occurred to the little girl. But there was something about Leona, something that neither of her parents really had to teach her; it was the ability to stand her ground in the face of whatever, and to be willing to fight for the right things.
The raven haired girl also grew up in the fear of being forgotten. Traveling made her realise that the world was large and she was only one person, so the fear of being swallowed into the masses, and becoming one of them was something she constantly battled; paired with the right kind of attitude, people hardly ever forgot Leona Davis. Plus, it helped to have powerful parents, even if they never really came into question every time Leona got into trouble.
On the night of the sixteenth birthday, the Beauxbatons girl was attacked on the grounds of an old castle that she and a select few of her confidantes were to spend the weekend in. In the ensuing chaos that followed, Leona had never stopped to think that she should have been dead that night. But the realisation that she might have been one of the things that go bump in the night didn’t take long to set in, and her fears were confirmed the moment she stepped out into the light after her attack; she was a vampire.
The Triwizard Tournament couldn’t have come in a better time. Among the delegates chosen to be sent to Hogwarts, Leona Davis happened to be one of them too. It was a relief, for hiding from people she had spent a lifetime with was hard, and the questions that followed were even harder to answer. Personally, the vampire doesn’t care for the Tournament, and even with her name in the Goblet, she knows she would never be chosen as a Champion.
