nathanieladamson:
Nate went on to continue with the paperwork when Rosalie was called in but when it was past a few minutes and she did not return, he went over to find her – only to see her in a conversation with Stefan. He couldn’t help the wave of jealousy which washed through him at that moment. The girl was smiling widely at the other, her cheeks pink and her eyes sparkling. It was rather obvious to anyone who watched that she very much enjoyed the other boy’s company. He quickly turned away, and got back to continue his work, telling himself that he had no right to be jealous, she was happy and that is what should matter. When she got back, he looked up from his papers, quickly forcing a smile onto his lips. “I am almost done, it seems we can get back home earlier than we imagined.” he said, placing the neatly stacked papers aside. Noticing the pink tinge on her cheeks, his gaze went back down to his documents again. “If you wanted to leave with your boyfriend, it’s fine. I have this covered.”
Rosalie could tell with just one glance that the smile on his face was forced, and she felt a pang of guilt surge through her, though she didn’t let it show. Instead, she forced a smile of her own onto her face, leaning against the door as she stuffed her hands in her pockets. “Really? That sounds great.” She replied, though it was clear that the enthusiasm in her voice wasn’t genuine. She enjoyed being at work, because it gave her an excuse to spend time with him without having to feel awkward. Well, at least most of the time it did. When he mentioned her leaving with her ‘boyfriend’, she raised an eyebrow at him, before shaking her head slgithly. “I.. He’s not my boyfriend. Not anymore, at least.” She stated, shrugging her shoulders lightly. “We broke up a while ago.”
garrettsinclair:
Garrett had finished his shift at the health center and was racing to the cafe to get some studying for finals done before he had to be back home. He hadn’t been paying attention, his mind was deep in his thoughts of the test he’d taken just hours ago that he hadn’t seen the red haired girl sharing the side walk with him, if he had he might have stepped aside. But he collided with her, his backpack falling to the ground hard, knocking him backwards. He shook his head as he looked over to the girl who had fallen. He blinked a few times as he stepped closer, offering his hand to her. “I’m good, are you?” He nervously chuckled as he met her eyes. “I didn’t see you, I’m real sorry, miss.”
Rosalie let out a soft laugh, more at her own clumsiness than anything else. She brushed her hands off, then gratefully took the boy's hand and carefully pulled herself up off the ground. "I'm quite alright, no need to worry. Thank you though." She replied, smiling softly at him.
moonchildjason:
“You were the one that fell down, did you get hurt?” he asked her, as he reached out his hand, so she could grab it and he could help her get up, he knew she was a vampire, perks of being a werewolf, he could tell when someone was a vampire or a werewolf like himself. The powers sure come in handy in situations like that and in his job too, of course. “I’m okay though, don’t worry about it,” he assured her, he wasn’t mad at her, and he made sure to show her that, by smiling at her, some people got mad when someone bump into them, but he wasn’t that someone.
She nodded her head, an amused smile on her face. "Yeah, I'm alright." Rosalie assured him, before reaching out to grab his hand so she could pull herself up. "Thank you, by the way. And I'm glad to hear that you're okay." She let out a soft sigh of relief, visibly relaxing once she had stood back up.
The past few days had been rather busy ones for Hugo. He almost always managed things fine but sometimes, it got difficult to balance study and work – which usually ended with him losing sleep. A completely exhausted Hugo had fallen asleep at an odd hour that evening and before long, he woke up with a start, stiffing a scream. Blood. It was all he could see. Blood everywhere. Not in his room, it was in his mind. The images of his dead parents was back to haunt him – their cold, dead, lifeless eyes staring up at Hugo. His hands had been covered in blood. He could taste it, he could taste their blood on his lips now.. he had to stop thinking about that night. He quickly got up from his bed, looking at the time – relieved to see that it wasn’t all that late at night. He didn’t waste any time, quickly stepping out of his apartment to get some fresh air to clear his head. He hadn’t consciously thought about where he was going but he found himself in front of Carolina’s door before long. She would understand him. Standing out there, he knocked the door, the smallest of smiles on his lips when the door opened. But it wasn’t Carolina who opened the door, it was Rosalie. “Sorry – I know it’s late but.. is Carolina home?”
@vampirerosalie
Rosalie had nearly fallen asleep on the living room couch, a book in her hand and an unfinished plate of food from the restaurant sitting on the coffee table in front of her. Hearing the knock on the door, she could feel herself get tugged back towards consciousness, and slowly stood up from the couch as she let out a tired yawn. She didn't care that she was in her pajamas as she approached the door, or that her hair was a complete mess. She'd figured Carolina had locked herself out again, but when she opened the door, she was a bit surprised to see Hugo standing in front of her, though she didn't let it show. Rosalie smiled at him, then shook her head a bit, her smile faltering when she noticed how on edge he seemed. "No, she hasn't come home yet. Are you alright? Come on in, we can sit and talk if you'd like."
undeadagnes:
Agnes had been picking up a few used books from an estate sale that day. She couldn’t spend too much time away from the shop, so she was in a hurry and didn’t notice the redhead approaching her until it was too late. She and her books were on the ground. Of course, Aggie’s reflect was to protect her books. They were like baby birds that’s wings might break upon impact. Her arms were instinctively wrapped around the bag of them and she managed only to lose a couple to the sidewalk. “Fine, I’m fine.” She reassured the redhead before scrambling to right herself and reaching for her books. “It was partly my fault, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She paused, looking up from her books to check that the other girl was okay. “You’re a vampire too, aren’t you?” Honestly, she could smell it, or rather, not smell it, as she didn’t want to rip apart the girl’s flesh for a meal.
Rosalie could tell from the look on the girl's face that she was concerned, but evidently not about her own well-being. She allowed herself to relax just a little bit with Agnes assured her that she was okay, nodding her head as she carefully stood back up. "And the books, no damage to any of them?" She asked politely. Rosalie froze the moment the other asked if she was a vampire, hesitating as she tried to decide how best to respond. "Yeah, I am. But keep your voice down, it's not something you want people overhearing."
stefanknott:
“I’ll never hush – but you can try and make me.” he said teasingly, his eyes sparkling with humour and his amused smile only widening when she said she was in no rush. “Does that mean you have the time to come over for a drink?” he asked, gesturing to his building which they weren’t far from. He stepped closer to her, his fingers tracing up her arm and tossing her hair back. “We never had the chance to make up for Thalia’s interruption the other night.”
Rosalie bit at her bottom lip lightly, feeling a shiver run down her spine as his fingers lightly made their way up her arm. "Maybe." She replied, her voice a little softer as she glanced up at him with a playful smirk on her face. "Are you sure she's not home now? I'd rather not be interrupted again.." There was a part of her that knew she shouldn't be doing this with him; they'd been broken up for a while, both of them needed to just move on already. But when he looked at her like that... the logical side of her never won out. This time was no different.
witchphelia:
“Or they’d go right through you, either way I guess there’s not much of a difference being invisible, dead or alive.” Ophelia mused with a grin. “… or maybe there is, I don’t really care to find out anytime soon.”
"I can't imagine how weird that would be, would you feel it if they walk through you?" She wondered, before shrugging her shoulders lightly. "Me neither, honestly. I think I could die happy not knowing the answers to any of this."
elijahforbes:
Elijah hesitated when the girl laughed, but only for a split second, before starting to pick up his things and get up off the ground. “No, surprisingly. For someone who falls all the time, you’d think I’d be injured more often.” He joked. He actually was decent at catching himself, it was just a lot of tripping for him. But cats always land on their feet. “Oh, you meant the phone.” He rolled his eyes at himself before looking at the screen. “It’s fine too, I think.”
Her smile broadened a bit at his joke, and she carefully stood up as he spoke. "I'm glad to hear it." She replied as she began brushing off the dirt from her fall. "Why were you in such a hurry, if you don't mind me asking?"
tiedinaknott:
Gabby beamed at the redhead, it was nice to have someone that enjoyed her creations as much as Rosalie did. While the girl was in school, being a florist was more than enough of a passion for her to make it not feel like much work. In fact, with her affinity for earth, she felt right at home with the plants. That’s not to say that she couldn’t control the other elements as well, because she could to a point, but earth was her strongest affinity and the flowers seemed to bloom with her smile. “For you, of course,” She nodded, “Do you have a few minutes while I put them together? The shop’s slow today, so I wouldn’t mind catching up.”
"Oh, thank you so much!" Rosalie replied excitedly, the smile on her face broadening as the girl agreed to make an arrangement specially for her. She knew that it was asking a lot, but she had grown fond of Gabrielle and their conversations whenever she stopped by, and was grateful the girl appeared to feel the same. "Of course I do, I'm in no rush today. I've got the day off from the restaurant, so I'm all ears."
dominicacton:
Dominic had barely been in town 24 hours, and he was already exhausted. He hated moving, if that was even what one could call it at this stage. He hadn’t even found a place to live, let alone moved in. He spent the previous night in a hotel, after carrying his bag around all day. One would think a vampire didn’t get tired easily, but he would argue that strenuously. The brunet was simply walking around, trying to get a feel for the place, but as a bird caught his eye and he looked up to watch it for a moment, he walked right into someone and immediately stumbled back. “Holy shit–” he said softly in surprise, but immediately took a step forward to hold his hand out to who he thought was a stranger. “Yeah, I’m fi– oh, hello.” A grin broke out on his face at the familiar face, and he let out a bit of a chuckle.
Rosalie immediately recognized the sound of his voice, having not realized who she had run into upon first glance. Looking back up at him, a grin spread across her face. "Sebastian?" She asked, more out of surprise than actually curiosity, taking his hand when he held it out so she could pull herself up. "How are you? It's been entirely too long."
benjaminmxntgomery:
“Rosalie,” he stated, the smile growing on his face as the realization hit her. It had even taken him a moment, her appearance keeping up with the times. He wrapped his arms around her in a tight embrace. She was one of the few people Ben showed affection towards. Rosalie had helped him in more ways than one, grateful that she had been there in some of his darker years. “I can’t believe fate has thrown us into the same town again. I’ve been good, living in California. “How are you? It’s been too long.”
She let out a soft, content sigh as she felt his arms around her, beyond excited to see him again. It really had been far too long since she had last seen him. Rosalie had meant to check up on him within the past decade, but had never gotten around to it for one reason or another, so she was so glad to see he was doing alright. "Funny how it works out like that." She mused, letting out a soft laugh. "California? That sounds exciting, how was it? I haven't been that far west in years. I'm doing really well, I've been here for a little while, catching up with some old friends I haven't seen in a while."
Rosalie took her work seriously, she really did, but she couldn't help but get distracted every once in a while. Especially when Stefan would stop by the restaurant, deliberately asking for her anytime he came by. When he stopped in that evening and requested that she take his order, Rosalie had to be summoned from the back, where she had been working on some paperwork with Nate. After he'd gotten his food and left, she made her way back to the back with a stack of dishes one of the wait staff had left on an empty table. Rosalie deposited the dishes in the sink to be cleaned, then poked her head around the corner to where Nate's office was, knocking lightly before stepping in. "Sorry about that, Stefan stopped by again. How's it coming along back here?" She asked casually, though it was clear she was still blushing slightly from her conversation with Stefan.

witchphelia:
“Never better considering you almost knocked me over.” Ophelia stated, fixing her shirt as she took a step back. “You know cases like these are what make me wonder what it would be to be invisible,” she mused. “Anyways, as you can see, I’m okay. Are you?”
Brushing herself off, Rosalie let out a soft sigh of relief as she stood back up, grateful that the other was okay. She smiled at the other girl, letting out a small laugh. “Yeah, I’m alright. Though I can’t imagine being invisible would help very much. Unless you were a ghost, people could still knock you over.”
Knocking, and knocking Carolina was nearly jumping up and down with panic climbing up her spine as there was no answer on the other side of the door. “ROSALIE!” She all but shrieked after another minute, running her hand trough her hair with shaky fingers, muttering to herself as she couldn’t exactly go anywhere either. She needed help and she needed it now. So when her friend came around the hallway corner, the raven haired vampire moved in a flash, reaching out for her friends hand to grip it tightly. “Please tell me you have ahm trash bags and.. oh god.. do you have a car here? If.. I mean we could steal one but thats just gonna bring more attention to it ahm..”
@vampirerosalie
Rosalie had nearly fallen asleep on the couch in the living room of their apartment after reading for a couple hours, but was jolted into an upright position at the sound of Carolina yelling her name from outside the front door. Standing up and stretching for a brief moment, Rosalie made her way over to the door, unlocking it before immediately opening it up for the dark haired girl. “I take it you forgot your key again?” She replied teasingly, before furrowing her brows in confusion at the other’s words. “Hold on, what do we need trash bags for? And you know I have a car... Care, what’s going on?”
stefanknott:
Stefan himself had his attention focused on his phone and therefore he hadn’t noticed the redhead walk right into him.. and fall down to the ground. An amused smile rose on his lips when she yelped and he quickly helped her back onto her feet. “I see you are using your vampire senses to your best advantage.” he said teasingly. “What the big hurry, Rose?”
There was a sense of relief that washed over Rosalie when she realized that it was Stefan she had run into, partially because she knew he wouldn’t get upset about it, but also because she still enjoyed seeing him, even if they weren’t together anymore. As he helped her up, she couldn’t help but smile, rolling her eyes at his words. “Oh, hush.” She replied playfully, before shrugging her shoulders. “There is no rush.”
benjaminmxntgomery:
Ben hadn’t gotten a good look at the woman when he’d asked, doing a double take as he realized he recognized her. “Rosalie?” It had been while, maybe too long since they’d run into each other. Benjamin felt bad it hadn’t happened sooner, but he was terrible with keeping up over the years with her. “This is turning out to be a much smaller world than I originally thought.” He chuckled, a smile growing on his face.
His face hadn’t changed in the years since she had last seen him, but he had still changed in some pretty obvious ways. It was just enough of a change that she really didn’t recognize him upon first glance, not paying too much attention to the details or even the sound of his voice, which should have been a dead giveaway. The moment he said her name, she turned to look at him, a grin forming on her face. “Ben?” Without a moment of hesitation, she threw her arms around him in a hug, grateful to see a familiar face. “Oh, I’m so glad to see you! How have you been? It’s been decades!”
