As he walked back to her she relaxed taking in his eyes with her own. “Very well played Ezekiel…” She let his hands engulf hers a kind smile on her features…one he only saw. “I don’t mind going to your gallery, been a moment since I’ve been there, I’d like to see what’s new, buy a few pieces.” She added with a chuckle. “I can not believe you’re getting me out of this hotel for the day…congrats to you.” She smirked. 

Ezekiel’s smile mirrored hers as he basked in her beauty “I hope the hotel can survive without you for a few hours.” he mused making his way again to the door this time holding her hand. “Are you ready?”

“Wait…” She watched him as he began to walk away. “Don’t tell me you’re leaving me already.” She spoke up lightly with a soft frown. Placing the book to her side she stood up lightly playing with her fingers. “I’d much like it if you stayed…please?”

Ezekiel bit his lip to hide a proud smile “I have work to do. You’re more than welcome to accompany me at the gallery” He said as he made his way back to her frowning self. “We can grab lunch, make a day of it” he said taking her hand and running his thumb over her knuckles. “Join me.”

As he shut the book, she felt a shock to her system. When he approached her she couldn’t help but let a smile slip on her lips as she looked up. “You know just what to say…” She felt his lips on the corner of her mouth and she moved her cool hand to the side of his face. “And do…” She whispered. 

Ezekiel leaned into her palm in the slightest “It’s not without trying my princess” he moved the book into her hand and patted her soft skin “happy reading” he smiled teasingly as he walked toward the door of the library.

“You there. Yes you…” Taloned gloved fingertips pointed to the other and slowly, she motioned to them, summoning them to her. “Be a dear and pass that book once you finish?”

Ezekiel clapped the book shut at the familiar voice and slowly approached her “Yes love, whatever you desire darling.” he said placing a kiss on the corner of her lips.

Vera watched in amusement as she toyed with the stranger’s phone on the lobby’s glass coffee table. From her seat on the opposite side of the room, Vera used her own powers to keep herself entertained by shutting the damn device on and off, calling random strangers in the contact list and lastly, typing up some kind of cryptic message for the victim’s loved one to receive. She was having a blast until someone had distracted her, causing her to break focus. Looking them over, Vera didn’t sigh, per se, but she let her annoyance be known. “This place is awfully boring lately, isn’t it?” She asked, a sad smile resting on her features. “Go on, then, tell me your story.”

Ezekiel had known many witches in his day and learned how to spot them out in a crowd. After a few seconds of observing he decided to walk over. He smirked at her obviously annoyed air “Only boring people get bored love — and my story, isn’t one I share lightly.” he spoke in his natural british accent.

“God, or even films… do you know how exhausting it is to bluff my knowledge on everything?” She laughed with a slight shake of her head. “It’s… very tiring.”

“I’ll lend you my computer I’m sure you’ll find everything you need on the internet or just netflix”

“He was only starting out when I was still alive,” She commented with a small smile, but nodded in agreement. “I kept up with his career, though, you know? Newspapers and such. A long time ago now, hmm? Do you have any other more modern records you could recommend?”

“I don’t know if you could call any of my records modern but I have a few recommendations”

“Well, a pretty penny doesn’t mean much to me these days.” Viv sighed softly as she took a seat against the foot of her own bed, resting her hands in her lap. “I mean, you’re welcome to take the ones I don’t really listen to that often - if,” She began, her eyebrows raising. “You can bring me back some more modern ones. Or more Sinatra ones, my favorite is scratched to pieces.”

Ezekiel walked over to where she sat standing casually with hands in his pockets. “No I couldn’t take them thank you for the offer but I could lend you my Frank Sinatra records. He was always better live anyway.”

“Uh,” Viv began, listening to him rambling on and on about the history of the things she owned, which she admittedly knew very little about. “Well, a few of those are from when I was a child, so you’re talking maybe 1915 to 1920… ish.” She moved her hand slightly to gesture ‘ish’ before taking some from the pile he had already looked through. “I only play maybe three or four of them regularly, and time has taken its toll.”

“Well not that it’d do you much good stuck in here but these could make a pretty penny today Vivien. Maybe half a grand each by the condition they’re in.” Ezekiel finally stopped playing with them and put them back where they belonged.

Viv didn’t know how he had ended up in her room, paws all over her belongings, but she knew Ezekiel, and she trusted him - somewhat. “Uh, just stuff from when I was still kickin’.” Viv commented as she peaked around him to see what he had his hands on. “Records will never go out of style, you know.”

“These aren’t just records my dear, these are more fragile than the more well known vinyl disks the grooves were not engraved in the solid piece but in a thin tin foil  layer a top the plastic. Are any of these from the 1910s by chance?” he asked fascinated by the antiques.
