When you're in Bologna, you're fairly obligated to carbo-load. Tagliatelle with bolognese sauce, ricotta-stuffed tortellini with brown butter and sage, and black truffle parmesean risotto.

A night and day spent travelling meant that we were left to the culinary whims of the airline. Lufthansa is pretty good at keeping it balanced though!
Using up what's left in our fridge. Fried tofu and brown rice stir fry with some leftover green veggies (chopped kale, broccoli, and peas). Sprinkled with chilli powder, tumeric and garlic chilli paste. Vegan friendly goodness!
Had the craziest craving for ramen noodles today. I figured I would entertain it and add a few extras to give me some more bang for my buck nutrition-wise. I pan fried some firm tofu with olive oil, sesame seeds and chili powder for protein and added some frozen broccoli for extra vitamins. I was pretty stoked with how it turned out! Not bad for a lazy meal!
Some sleepy time Yogi tea to help me get some Z's tonight. I've been randomly waking up in the middle of the night a couple times this week and it leaves me pretty drained through the day. Here's hoping this helps!

Continuing on the healthy pumpkin hype train leading up to Fall I made some stovetop pumpkin oatmeal! I'm so impressed with how this turned out and how easy it was to make.
1/3 Cup stovetop oats (I used Roger's porridge oats and ancient grains)
1 Cup unsweetened almond milk (or water if you'd prefer)
2/3 Cup canned pumpkin
1/2 Scoop of vanilla protein powder
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of all spice
Dash of nutmeg
1 Tsp of agave to sweeten (optional)
Stir together continuously in small pot on low/medium heat until oats are cooked through (adding more almond milk or water if necessary)
Top with your favourite sprinkles such as pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, raisins, or chia seeds
Starting the packing process for our trip! I'm clearly being super adventurous with my palette.
Definitely something I'm noticing more and more. There have been so many times where I go out with friends or family and I'm so worried about my commute home, or what I'm doing the next day, etc. that I'm often not 100% present.
This is really something I need to work on.

1 banana
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup of canned pure pumpkin
1/2 cup of water
Handful of ice cubes
Cinnamon to taste
