psa. tiny psa on au characterization. how a muse thinks, how a muse acts, and everything surrounding their entire existence usually depends on what they have been through, just like a real person is shaped by the events they experience and the people they meet (or don’t meet). please note that sometimes there’s bits of characterization you cannot carry over into alternate universes unless you have decided to translate something as closely as you can —– and that means sometimes you’ll see things on your dash and think ‘that’s not them.’ and you’re right. it’s not always them. because in some au’s, the events that made them who they are never happened. that doesn’t mean the bones aren’t there. that doesn’t mean it’s ooc. it means that it’s an alternate version based and shaped around alternate events. it is cause and effect. when you explore a character, especially a canon one, you don’t just have to stick their canon personality into every verse you think up. it’s okay to change that based on the changes made. it’s realistic to change that based on the changes made. there will always be similarities (as I said, the bones will always be there, especially with things concerning said muse that are internal rather than external) but I repeat —– alternate versions, and alternate universes, are based and shaped around alternate events.

     LOOKING PAST the male, gin wondered if there was another person such as this one. although he couldn’t be around crowds, he wondered what the other was playing. with a ball as different as theirs, gin figured there were more games to play with the sphere objects.

                    ‘ --------- what are you playing ? ’                     he then asked.

     THIS BOY didn’t appear to be dangerous to him. If he asked politely, maybe he could learn how to play what he was doing. turning his gaze back towards the other, gin smiled from under his mask even if it was unnoticeable with the mask on.

                    ‘ --------- if you ever have the time, could i try playing that game with you ? i haven’t seen a ball like that before. so it must be different than soccer, right ? ’
