Pretty much
I keep tumbling downhill...I think my thyroid is outta whack and I'm super tired and the hives are starting to come back so my main option is to just go home and sleep and not work out :( no bueno
Fell waaayyyy off the wagon. Three day weekends are terrible for diets, lordy. Couldn't work out today because of rain, either. AAAHHHHH but ok...try again tomorrow. Just try, try, try. Sigh.
I went sooooo over my points today but oh my god I had the best time. I went to a conference and then, more exciting and important, I saw an early screening of The Fault in Our Stars!! It was amazeballs and you can read my (spoiler free!) review here: http://b-ten.com/fault-stars-spoiler-free-review/
I did stand in line for nearly four hours though so that counts for something, right? lol
Tomorrow I am sooooooo gonna try and make it to the gym though, hahaha.
Zomies, Run Day 6, day 4 of restart, 1st time on level 3!
I worked out today! I probably shouldn't have because I was so, so sore earlier today but I knew it'd be a few days before I could get back to the gym! It was soooo hard! It also didn't help there were so many people in the gym today, ugh! Anyway, I managed through my 15 second run drills, but when it came to the free run I only managed one 1 min. run and two 20-30 second runs. I was so beat I couldn't even make it to 40 minutes today. I went through the mission, did a cool down walk and then stopped. But, I did take the long route back to the apartment, taking the opportunity to check mail and pick stuff up at the office (probably freaking them out with my sweat and red face, haha) so I think I managed alright. Tomorrow is a day off but I will (hopefully) be walking around more because I'll be at a conference for most of the day and then going to wait in line in the evening for a super early premier of The Fault in Our Stars with my friend! I can't wait :)
The app says I'll be starting a new work out routine the next time I do it, I'm a little nervous about it and I'm tempted to start over on the first three days to really build up my stamina buuutttt I also think I should just give it a try and see how it goes! Guess we'll see!!
Zombies, Run Day 5, day 3 of restart
Ok, so I have caught up to the same place I was last week before my app derped! Which means either tomorrow or Friday I will start on a new part of the app, yay! Today was a little tougher than yesterday! My legs were sore and I struggled a bit. But, after my running drills, which I did manage to survive through, I did 6 free runs during my 10 minute free style section! I even ran for a solid minute on the 6th time!!! I am stoked! This was a good accomplishment today! Especially since I'm gonna probably take it easy tomorrow and walk for the freestyle section...but who knows what'll happen! Thursday I will have a break mainly because I'll be out until the evening with a friend. We're going to see an early premier of The Fault in Our Stars! Or, we hope to! Gotta get in line and hope to get a spot!
So more good progress today! It was definitely a punishment because I ate pretty crappy last night and I had a vanilla coke for lunch! But I still feel good and shouldn't be over my daily points! I'm really hoping to see some progress this Saturday when I weigh in!
Til tomorrow! :)
Zombie Run Day 4, day 2 of restart:
Let me tell y'all something. If you are looking for an up to quickly raise your stamina, this is the one! Today was AMAZING, but let me backtrack a bit! Friday, I took a break and only did 15 minutes of exercise on my in-laws elliptical and Saturday we had Comic Con so I walked over 11,000 steps gaining a ton of activity points seeing as how we were on our feet from 11-6 with only two or three 10 minute breaks to sit down. Though the con was very disappointing, I still got in some great exercise! On Sunday, I had a terrible migraine and was basically in bed all day, which sucked, but I suppose my body needed the break. But today, today I dragged my butt back to the gym and started my work out for the week! I was seriously surprised that despite a three day break from the app, I was doing really well! I made it through all 15 second run drills and when it came to the 10 minute free run, I did 2 35-40 second runs!!! That is a huge accomplishment considering last Tuesday I could barely make it through the 15 second running drills! I am really impressed that through the work-out regime, encouragement and pace this app has already gotten me to do this well! We'll see what happens tomorrow. Yes, they do recommend taking a day off but I can't be slacking! I just need to make sure I don't injure myself again, lol. Seriously though, if you need the training and don't want to get a trainer, spend the $2 to get this app!
OH! And I did lose this week! That 3-5 pound gain the other day? Just water! I was down 1.2 pounds for this past week! I'm hoping to be down two or three this week if possible, we'll see!
I am very upset.
Yesterday, I was on the scale first thing in the morning and was back down to the weight I had before my weeks of screw ups. All was well. Today, after working out intense for three days and eating well (and not going over my points!!) I'm UP 3 pounds?! I don't understand! I keep trying to tell myself maybe it was water retention because I fell asleep super early yesterday and didn't get in my normal amounts of water but I didn't feel swollen like I normally would. I'm really hoping tomorrow morning it'll be back down since it's my weigh in day but I'm so aggravated! I've worked my ass off this week (except Monday) and I can't work out today because I've got a million errands plus my injury so just ugh.
*pulls hair out*
Day 3 of Zomibes, Run! And day one of restart.
SO I now understand why they suggest taking a day or two off. I have of course, hurt myself, and will not be working out tomorrow. Mostly I just feel pain in my hip/leg joint so I need to take the day off. Still, I managed 35 minutes of work out today going between the treadmill, stationary bike and elliptical. I restarted because as I mentioned yesterday, my phone and app derped. I started with the official start to the mission which was mostly just story set up. It was good, don't get me wrong, but there wasn't any actual direction of you were supposed to do, so I just did as much of the treadmill as I could power through and then did the other two machines. I'm a little annoyed because the app won't sync with my online profile, meaning I can't share my progress. Like, seriously? You need to get that shit to work. Also realized that you can't skip songs in the app, which is dumb. And they keep playing the same handful of songs every day despite the fact I say shuffle. So I'm hoping to get a break from them by making a new playlist.
That was pretty much it. I'll be getting my weekend work out from walking around Dallas Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully the pain will go away by then because I don't want to be in misery during the con!
I think I'm back down to the weight I was before my 2-3 weeks of bad habits, here's hoping the trend of losing keeps up.
Day 2 of Zombies, Run! Whelp, my BRAND NEW phone derped the fuck up and so all my shit was reset. Which means to get achievements and downloads and shit, I'll have to start over sigh. Which, on the one hand isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I think I missed the very first mission, oops. ANYWAY.
I did work out before everything went all funky. I actually went outside because I got home a little later today and had a feeling the gym would already have people in it and that would mean the treadmills would be unavailable. Plus it was really nice out. The sun was shining, there was a cool breeze and we didn't have our usual Texas heat that comes in May (at least we don't have it yet). So I trekked around the apartment complexes in our area.
I learned very quickly why they recommend you take a day off and then come back. It was a struggle today. In fact, when it came to the running drills, I missed two runs because I was drained. But, I still managed to keep moving, only taking about 40 seconds overall of a break between sections.
They introduced a few more zombie noises which yeah, were pretty creepy when it's all up in your ear, but what actually got me to jump was when they had another character suddenly shout "BOO!" when I was obviously not expecting it. Luckily I mostly kept composure, lol.
I did about 40 minutes today and I have an 75% chance of having a sunburn, definitely have a blister on my left foot, can't stop sneezing (I'm allergic to the outdoors hahaha) and I feel the strain in my legs. At the end of the work out they recommended taking one or two days off, but I think I'm going to try tomorrow by starting with the very first part (I skipped it thinking it was just a summary of the app when I think it's the first workouts and the background story) and just take it easy. Then I'll take a break Friday and Saturday will be devoted to wandering around Comic Con, as will Sunday. Hopefully by Monday I will be ready to take on the work outs again!
I am still bummed all my progress got wiped on the app, and sure I could just start where I left off but it would bother me seeing blank mission reports soooo yeah. Plus it'll probably help my stamina to do the early on work outs a couple of times over.
That's it for now! I even ate decently well today! Now I'm gonna rest and drink gallons of water, lol.
I swear to God I am the world’s ugliest runner holy fuck.
I just want my face to be not so red anymore ._. stupid easily flushing face, stupid hot apartment gym, stupid workout
ALRIGHT SO!
Had a few weeks where I fell off the wagon. Why? Well I celebrated my 26th birthday (WHICH WAS AMAZEBALLS BECAUSE DBBUK WAS THERE) and also celebrated getting a new job WOOT! But the Monday after my bday weekend I caught a nasty stomach virus that lasted for two days and kept me pretty tired and lifeless for the week (but I did drop some weight...but pretty sure i gained it all back, lol). Then, my husband left for a business trip for a week and I got super sleep deprived and ate like shit, then yesterday it rained (lamest excuse evar). But TODAY! TODAY I STARTED AGAIN! Well...I started exercising again. Not gonna lie, totally had some Chick-Fil-A for lunch (om nom nom).
But lemme tell y'all about my work out!
The other day I purchased this intriguing app called Zombies, Run! because tumblr posted it and my interest was peaked. Basically, this app puts you in the story as a survivor of "Able" and also trains you to run a 5k. Now, I don't know if I'm ever going to run a 5k (I mean who knows how I'll feel after I use this app to the fullest!) but I definitely want to start building up my stamina so I can at least start exercising to the most. And boy did I bust my butt today.
The app starts off with a little introduction story, basically saying hey you're in training so you can go run and get supplies. The first day is not as exciting as I'm sure the rest of the app will be, but I really enjoyed it. They started my work out with a 10 minute walk which I did on the treadmill going between 3.0-3.5 speed. Make sure you have a playlist on your phone because it will play music while you're working out between the story. I did the 10 minute walk and then 10 minutes of running drills where you walk for 1 minutes and run for 15 seconds. It was tough near the end, like holy fuck. But I did it!! Then, the work out ends with 10 minutes of free running where you can either walk, do run drills or run. Personally, I was near exhaustion at this point so I mostly walked but I did manage a 20 second run and then a 15 second run near the end. They talk more about the story ( you're known as runner 5 btw) and then you get cool additions to the app at the end of each work out. You can also keep going and listen to your music and cool down. They also do a great job of being the voice of encouragement in your head!
Now it is having me rest a day and then come back but more than likely, I'm gonna try the next workout tomorrow because I have so much time to make up for. I will definitely keep you all updated on what happens and when I actually start running from zombies!
If you're interested you can find my profile here; https://www.zombiesrungame.com/KitsunaRi/ and you can buy it for iphone or android for $2! TOTALLY WORTH IT! I really enjoyed day one and honestly, it didn't feel like 35 minutes at the end! Usually my work outs can feel like a beating only 15 minutes in but this really flew by! I can't wait to keep using it :)
Man oh man...I feel guilty but don't have enough energy to fix it. I haven't worked out in a few days, it's been busy busy busy and my energy is below zero. I know that if I worked out I'd get energy but the thought of going into a gym that has very little a/c is not appealing siigghh tomorrow...tomorrow I'm going to do better!
But hey, I just found out I have a new job!! I start May 6th!! :D
AWWWW YEAH!!! WE ARE BACK TO MAKING PROGRESS!!! Lost 2.4 pounds this week!! I'm so pumped I'm gonna go eat an orange and then work out on a SATURDAY MORNING HOLY BALLS!
*happy dance*
Man this week has been killer!!! Between celebrating birthdays at work to having going away parties the food has been bad, bad, bad!! But I've tried to exercise between it all....let's hope that helped!
Tomorrow I have the day of so I plan on waking up early, getting some errands done and doing a good work out before I have a phone interview!! Hopefully I actually follow through with that plan!
40 minutes of exercise accomplished today!! 30 on the treadmill and 10 on the stationary bike! It'll probably be more impressive when I'm going more than 3.0 mph on the treadmill...but I did up my inclines! Up to 5 on the bike!! Here's hoping the scale shows me a lower number than I've seen all year! And if not, I just gotta keep hitting that gym...which means I probably have to set an alarm for tomorrow morning to get in a work out!! But yay! I'm feeling good!! Goal right now is -50 in September, more if possible, but we'll see if the 50 is even possible!!
I was bad today and had a cupcake...but a co-worker is leaving so I couldn't say no to the cupcakes she bought us!! And then next week we'll have more cupcakes and pizza @_@ gonna be soooo good this weekend and limit my badness as much as possible next week!!!
Yessssss I weighed in this morning and I am back down!!! I am so excited! I'm hoping by Saturday (my weigh in day) I'll be down another half pound to a pound so I can be back on track! Just gotta keep up with this exercise routine! Tomorrow I'd like to work out for 40 minutes if my body can manage it :) Now I think I really want the Fitbit just to post results XD
