I love how Webby and Beakley work so well together and they're so good at fighting! I really appreciate Beakley at the end not caring bout' the fight anymore and just protecting Webby, she could've defeated the lizard guy (i forgot his name XD) but she chose to protect Webby from being injured, that's how much she loves her, she may look a bit intimidating but she'll do anything for her precious granddaughter. <3

a reminder for some fans who don't seem to get this.

angel dust enjoys his job as a sex worker. We can see as much during his pole dancing at the start of the music video and the performance he does with Cherri Bomb.

what he doesn't enjoy is the control Valentino has over his life.

Valentino is a pimp. The vast majority of angel's earned money goes to him in exchange for the "publicity" he offers. Not to mention "gifts" that help in the work, like clothes and makeup and jewelry.

so angel gains very little financially from his work, even as a highly successful film star. This leaves him scrambling for cash for things like rent.

Angel's ultimate goal is to have control over his own life.

Be in the films and shows that he wants.

No streetwalker work because he is too talented for it.

And most likely some mob work occasionally because as we saw in the comics he's very talented at that too.

But again Valentino doesn't care about talent. He only cares about keeping control of angel and others like him. That's how he remains in power.

so how did angel get involved with him in the first place?

Well the music video shows us.

Angel Dust was a talented, but unknown sex performer working at a tiny strip club in what seems to be a lower class part of Hell.

Val sees one of his shows while hunting for new talent. He recognizes angel's potential, but more importantly his vulnerability. Valentino only hunts for prey that will not disobey him.

He offers angel what every pimp/ corrupt manager does: a chance for angel to make it in the big leagues.

Angel agrees and goes with him. At first he really likes Val and his new life is a complete high.

But then Val slowly starts slowly showing his true colors: demanding more money from angel and treating him badly.

Now it's too late for angel to get away and he's trapped.

So he spends what little freedom he has with Cherri, who is a comfort even tho she has her own emotional issues to work through.

The hotel is a comfort in its own way too because it means that angel isn't scrambling to pay life expenses anymore, since rent and food and everything are free.

But he is still very much under Val's control. Which is going to be the major arc of his character as the series progresses.

Personally I'm hoping that Alastor, after forming friendship with Angel, just straight up eats Valentino.

Alright, so someone mentioned the mysterious guy from Cherri' s past looked familiar:

And considering Cherri Bomb used to be Cherry Bomb a.k.a Isabella, an angel and Angel Dust's late daughter, in Zoophobia's Angels and Demons arc, I decided to look what else our trusty old comic had in store for us.

And this is what I found:

By the time these were posted/done, I'm pretty sure I didn't know who Vivziepop was, let alone had social media, so I can't tell you who this guy was supposed to be. Although it looks like he was called Tyco?

However, he seems to be a combination of Cherri's final design and Valentino's entire concept.

Perhaps the inspiration for the two?

Maybe @vivziepop based the mysterious cyclops on him?

I chose to make a Hazbin Hotel persona bc I’ve been wanting to for a long time and this is sorta just a small glimpse of her. I tried to keep it similar my own original persona.

I might make full reference sheet soon.

But to start off I wanted to make a fanart piece of Addict. I love this song not just for the melody and incredible music video, I love it because I can really relate to the song in some ways that honestly makes me cry whenever I hear it. Especially the ending in the MV, I just bawled my eyes out-

Out of all songs I thought I’d here, I never expected this one to speak to me as much as it did.

I’m honestly wanting to make a short animatic using my persona with this song.

There’s so many things I can say about this video, but I’m just gonna point out a few things. The song vibes really well, but it’s actually really sad if thought about. Angel is trapped in a cycle that he can’t escape, even if he wants to. When he’s talking about how this is his life, you can just tell how exhausted he is. He’s trying to hide it and put up a facade, but it’s breaking. He hates Val for all he’s worth, but Val gives him what he wants and Angel isn’t ready to give that up. When Angel briefly talks about his OD, he doesn’t look happy and even a bit uncomfortable until Val draws his attention again with his smoke. “I’ve let my emotions go, fuck being a sober hoe” while he’s trying to tell himself that everything’s fine and he’s enjoying his life, he clearly breaks down a lot and hates what he’s doing.

On a bit of a lighter note, the fact that Cherri cares so deeply about Angel is amazing. She clearly wants to help, but doesn’t exactly know how. She’s there for him though. While it’s unknown if they directly talk about the issues Angel’s having, it’s clear that Cherri doesn’t like Val since she blew up the billboard of him. It’s also nice to see that their relationship is really strong and that they’re there for each other.

I just hope that his actual trauma and issues don’t get pushed aside. Val has manipulated and sexually/physically assaulted him to the point where Angel is actually hallucinating him - whether due to the drugs, PTSD, or a combination. Angel isn’t enjoying the things he does anymore. He’s just constantly trying to push his issues aside for another day. “I’m addicted, I’m dependent. Looking awesome, feeling helpless” Angel keeps going back and forth between being vulnerable with himself and trying to erase his emotions. It also shows he’s aware of his addictions, but has accepted them at this point.

Something else that’s interesting is that noticed is that while Angel is a gay male, he’s still willing to sleep with women. I just wonder if he’s okay with that personally or if it makes him really uncomfortable but he once again won’t admit it. At one point to he probably enjoyed his work, but now he’s miserable - relabeling the toy box from “for fun” to “work shit”.

I hope that most of this made at least some sense. It’s a hard issue to address, and I just hope that Charlie and the others can help him open up and let him know he has support.

If your Up for some bad takes my idea is that the city Sora is, which I have no idea if it’s Tokyo or not, is ultimately alternate universe destiny islands. Because is opposite of a fairy tale paradise island than a damp realistic city. And basically the “Sora” Yozora knows is just alternate universe Sora that main universe Sora just accidentally merged into.

Well I still don’t think Yozora is an alternate version of Sora (at least... not... in the sense I think you’re suggesting), but it could be that this Shibuya is an alt DI or part of an alt-universe in general especially when you take into account this weird ad you can find in Shibuya
