She looked him up and down slowly, a certain look in her eyes that would remind the second in command of his own box animal. The small and slender teen circled him like he was a piece of meat as she seized up every bit of his current clothing.. but at least had the sense not to touch the male. At last she planted her feet in front of him. “I count at least six spots with thinning, two loose threads. The jacket would suffice in the more milder cold weather. However, we haven’t hit the last few months of winter and those are meant to be tougher. Also your jacket is made of leather but currently hasn’t been treated to be water proof. There isn’t any scent of the know creams or lotions to indicate such a thing. Your left boot has laces that are starting to come apart. If you want to look unkempt than that’s on you. But you do carry yourself more as someone who needs to look at least decent and not like something a cat drug in from the rain.” She paused and looked at his hair. “Also, you’re starting a case of really bad split ends.”

His eyes darkened in anger at her words. He couldn’t believe she was calling him out on this, the clothes he fucking wore for work that of course were going to be a fucking mess because he hadn’t wanted to wear his newer Varia jacket when he was just going to go out and look for the stupid mist brat.

“Listen here brat, I was literally dragged into this damned world while working! This! This is not what I wear on a daily basis but guess fucking what? I DIDN’T FUCKING GET TO BRING A CHANGE OF FUCKING CLOTHES!”

He had fuming and didn’t care that he raised his voice at her. She had asked for it the moment she had decided to insult the swordsman without even knowing anything. This is why he ordered his clothing online and had it tailored by someone from the Vongola house hold. He did not like to be reminded of how shitty his hair was getting because of all the damned fucking abuse he got from Xanxus and the stress from everyone else.

“Go bother some other poor sap before you piss me off more you brat.”

    Fran had been enjoying his life as of late. He liked not getting stabbed almost every hour of the day and the silence he’d come back to. Though if he was honest he was greatly missing messing around with the Varia and Mukuros gang, but at least he had Cheshire to continue to poke fun at in replacement.

    He’d been taking a stroll god knows where when he had suddenly felt a strong grip on his shoulder and he instantly knew without even knowing who it was that his play time was somewhat over. He felt no real fear and could only really let out a soft sigh when he heard that famliar and a bit annoying ‘voi’. The captain had somehow ended up in wonderland with him now and he could only imagine the mess it was back there. 

    Eh, it was future him’s problem.

    “Oh! Captain loud mouth, I never expected to find you here…..anyways, I wasn’t hiding, it’s almost impossible to get home from here so I don’t know why you’re getting mad at home about it.”

Squalo could feel his blood start to boil at the mist brats response. He should have expected something like this, he knew he should have been prepared for it but damn it he still wasn’t.

“You fucking little brat! How many times do I have to tell you to not call me that!!”

He hissed his reply under his breath to not drag attention to them as his grip tightened on the younger boys arm as he dragged him away from the street so he could better rip him a new one without anyone glancing over to them and trying to save the idiot.

“Listen here, I’m well aware of that little fact, doesn’t mean you aren’t in shit for even disappearing in the first place and making me go out and try to find you! I thought you were fucking smarter than to get caught off guard and dragged to this shitty world!”

Squalo looked in confusion at the girl who had suddenly approached him with an offer to help him find a new style that would better suit him. He had only walked into the shop to buy more clothes since he obviously had only shown up in what he had on and needed new clothes, he hadn’t been in need of any help from anyone since he was a grown ass man.

The Varia captain had to bit his tongue so he wouldn’t yell profanities at the girl for bothering him. She was obviously just doing her job and he had to respect that. But it still didn’t stop him from being a bit snarky as he replied to her with a slight glare.

“Voii!! Do I look like I need help from you girl?”

“listen, asshole. i’m gonna carry you home whether you like it or not. you’re not in any condition to get there yourself.”  x

He didn’t like it, not at all, but he knew there was no way he’d be able to shake the bastard Vongola storm off his back. No, Squalo knew that the Vongola brats all had the stupid desire to never leave a man behind even if they were your enemy. The Sawada brat had obviously influenced all his guardians to be so selfless and have a bleeding heart like he did, a terrible trait for the mafia if he was honest.

It wasn’t like he was dying anyways. He’d just exhausted himself and twisted his ankle bad and couldn’t step on it when the younger mafioso had stumbled upon him. He just needed time to rest and he’d be able to get himself home on his own. But it wasn’t like he was taking a punch to his pride by letting the teen have his way for now.

“You brats still haven’t learned have ya. I can take care of myself without any of your help damn it.”

Squalo had been taking his time getting to know his new area, making sure to learn every twist and turn, scouting it out like he used to scout new cities and villas he would go to for his missions with the Varia. To survive you needed knowledge, you needed to know the ins and outs, and though he hadn’t had to do anything like this since he had defeated Ty years ago, he hadn’t lost his touch. He even easily mixed in properly with the citizens of this new area.

While working on his scouting, the long haird swordsman didn’t expect to find anything familiar in this place but as he was starting to learn, this place was full of surprises, and those surprises included an annoying brat who had been missing for awhile now. It was hard to miss the stupid frog hat that Bel had made the brat wear, Squalo was just surprised that the boy was still wearing it as if he had nothing to hide from.

With practiced silence, the Varia second in command made his way over to the illusionist, avoiding bumping into anyone and placing a strong grip on the boys shoulder as he spoke in a quiet but firm voice.

“Voii....is this where you’ve been hiding you brat? Do you know how much trouble you fucking caused?”
