Kataang Vs Zutara

Kataang is an epic and legendary love story, while zutara is a basic ass YA novel trope.

I mean let's look at the facts....

Kataang is the story of two individuals who were brought together despite being separated by a 100 years of time because one of them is the super savior of the world and managed to freeze himself to avoid a genocide and was then later found randomly by the girl who'd then ride or die with him and save the world.

That shit is freaking epic destiny.

Now what is Zutara? Two angsty teenagers who want to bone each other because they mommy-trauma bond and no one else understands their grief. Nope, certainly not the survivor of a genocide.

Funny, one of the sacred pillars of Zutara is that opposites attract, yet katara and aang are the actual opposite. Like come on zuko and katara are two hyper emotional people. The only difference is how they tackle their emotions with themselves and others.

Aang on the other hand is free spirited and tends to run from his emotions and problems that arise from them. His extreme joy and optimism in the face of tragedy is what gravitated katara so hard to him.

But please, tell me how zutara just has soooooo much chemistry.

And now look, aang is a super tall beef cake. Zutara is in shambles. Womp womp.

"Oh but a 14 year girl falling for a 12 year boy is soooooo unrealistic"

Yeah, cus living together for a year in a world saving adventure and cheating death multiple times and fighting for your life is such a common thing teens deal with everyday during school.

Also aang is totally just a stupid silly 12 year old kid, he's definitely not a wise and disciplined monk with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

At the beginning of their relationship, Aang overwhelmed katara with constant chivalry. Holding open every door, helping her up on Appa, pulling out her chair, etc.

She called him sweet but urged him to not try so hard and ease up, that she was still the same Katara he befriended, that they were still best friends who just happen to be in love with each other.

Kataang headcannon 13 (Zutara adventure by kataang for kataang)

shortly after aang and katara return from their honey moon. Aang is arrested by Republic City police after being framed of a terrible crime.

Sokka and toph cannot get involved since they are Republic City officials, katara is no longer on the council.

Which means it's up to zuko and katara to go on a kataang / zukaang fueled adventure to clear his name.

Kataang Headcanon 12

Aang and Katara FUCKED 50 Shades of Airbending during the movie when they were in Zuko's airship. This happened the first night after everyone went to bed.

Katara slobbered all over aang's avatar stick and edged him so good that he started pathetically begging for release.

Tagah heard and had a hard time sleeping so he got pissed off and decided to betray the team.

That's why Tagah told katara that she's his weakness.

I've never read any zutara ships as a die hard kataanger but I can imagine all the over played tropes your basic-ass ship has.

Names range from Ursa, Kya, Lu ten,Iroh, or some derivative of them.

The boy is waterbender that looks like zuko with katara's complexion.

The girl is the opposite, light skinned firebender katara with a not so surprise that she can bend blue fire.

Zuko probably is worried about the blue flames that she'll be like her crazy aunt.

Katara constantly kisses his eye scar.

I can only imagine the amount of Will Smith level cuckness Aang must have in those fics to have a platonic friendship with katara after having such a strong bond in the events of the show.

"Aw there goes the girl almost gave up the avatar state for walking down the isle marrying my best friend who totally didn't blind side me"

Oh and katara being a blue balling oblivious dolt.
