One time I was leaving a friend's place and an older lady with basically no English came up to me and communicated that she was very cold and needed a ride. She pointed to tell me where to go.

I got there and her daughter or granddaughter came out and was like omg her phone died we were worried

And then the older lady said something and the younger lady translated.

"She knew she could trust you because you have pink hair"

I thought it was funny at the time. But when I think back on it I think she was basically saying "you had a visible sign of not vibing with the system I was afraid of"

Made some more of these trainer encounters for my commission sheet I’m working on! I had the fun idea to offer “Single Battle” & “Double Battle” drawings either line-art or full-color, with 1-6 Pokémon per drawing (1-3 each for Doubles, just like in the game!)

For the “Single Battle” example, I drew more “me-Ansy” than “comic-Ansy” (lol) with the plush team you’ve been seeing in those slice of life posts I’d do (still waiting on the last 2 members, hopefully for Christmas!). Really looking forward to it getting cool enough for me to wear my cozy cloudy sweater more~ ☁️

For the “Double Battle” I drew Ansy & Ikrit as a “Kimono Couple”! Kimono / Furisode Girl is a trainer class who wear traditional Japanese clothes & use Eeveelutions, perfect for our Eevee family lol. Reminds me of the Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Festival)! 🌸 I need that kimono

I’m hoping to have the completed sheet done soon. Again, I won’t be able to do too many at a time (the Double Battle definitely ate up a lot of my time / energy lollllll), but yeah! Should be fun!
