Do you know what pattern of sabres Ban and the boys would have carried?

Good question, this is something I’ve actually wondered myself for quite some time. It feels like prior to the Napoleonic period there’s very little easy info online re. standard British cavalry swords. I’ve seen a number of pieces of artwork where British Legion troopers are armed with sabres that have a slightly widened, heavy tip, with a small hook, but I’m not too sure about the accuracy of that. It would certainly have been a wicked chopping weapon.

Oh, so just a very aggressive clip point then! I’ve read about that being a modification done on some French sabers, but I don’t think I’ve seen any examples of British clip point sabers done as a general rule. I read more about the 19th century, though, so maybe Tarleton was doing that back in the day! I wonder why it’s such a common artistic trope for him and his unit. Reflective of his actual equipment or just artistic shorthand to give him a more villainous looking weapon?

So with her likely upcoming appearances in Young Justice and maybe Gotham and maybe Birds of Prey, I’ve had Lady Shiva on my mind again. Well… more than usual. And I managed to keep it bottled up so far but now I feel those urges again so let’s at least try to channel them into some hopefully decent comic book analysis. Solomon said that the original sun was destroyed and he replaced it with two new suns. Is it implied he also rebuilt the solar system and reset all the orbits since losing the main gravitational anchor would be rather unhealthy for the planets and replacing a single star with two stars would be a dumpster fire for the planets? I’m leaving for a month trip back to Atlanta, but my laptop has decided to pull its own plug. After replacing the keyboard and battery, now the power jack and mouse buttons have stopped working, and at this point, it’s time to say goodbye to the 8+ year old monster. To raise a little cash for a cheap little travel computer without dipping into my trip fund, I’m taking some commissions! These are full body, colored sketches. The cost is $40 for a solo character, $70 for couples, paid up front through Paypal invoice. I’m doing pin-ups and NSFW content with this deal as well, and I am open to any kink within reason. Doing a thing because of 1k

First of all if you manage to read through this you’re World’s Official Best Person, grats you made it.

So as the title says: 1k followers woowie, I’m now taking over the planet, if the planet was a really really tiny commune made out of extremely attractive losers on the internet who for some reason think that WoW fanarts and OC arts are a priority in their life (get a job son >:/).
