Lucifer, Vaggi, and Charlie all stood around the lobby awkwardly, waiting for a portal to open.Ā
It had been a solid 4 minutes of silence. Like everyone wanted to say something but also didnāt know how to read the room and respond.
At one point Lucifer croucked down and opened his briefcase where all that was in there were rubber ducks, what he was going to do with those, no idea! But it would probably be fun to figure it out. or give them to people.
Eventually, a bright blue portal opened up in the center of the room, standing out in the red lobby.Ā
āHereās our ride!ā Charlie grinned happily, stepping inside, vaggi in tow. Lucifer took a moment and stared. It had been so long since he was in heaven. What if he does something wrong and he gets kicked out, what if sera doesnāt hear him out, what if-
Eventually, the portal starts to close slowly, and Lucifer squeaks before hopping in, accidentally dropping his brief case before the portal closing.
āWhat could that insolent bafoon need in heaven?ā Alastor asked Niffty, pacing around his room.Ā
A cigarette nestled between two fingers and his jacket draped on his bed, he took a drag.
āMaybe he wanted to see all of the innocent bugs who havenāt seen my wrath. The ones that donāt hide their spawn in fear of my knives and watchful eye.ā Niffty intensely rasped.
Alastor ignored the comment and continued pacing. The idea was so complex. The king of hell, now powerless and publicly displayed as such now -after who knows how long of staying secluded to hell- goes to heaven for a mystery reason.
Alastor groans frustratedly, the pacing making very loud and almost painful clacking sounds. Be takes another drag of his cigarette before exhaling the smoke and trying to put it together.
Powerless king -> embarrassment and shame -> sudden trip to heaven
Thatās when the answer finally showed itself.
āThat fuckingā¦.ā Alastor sighed. Niffty watching cluelessly.
āNiffty, I have a very important job for you,ā Alastor turned to her, āI need you to make sure there is no trace of where I am for the next fortnight. After that, I should be able to sustain my own hiding spot.ā He explained.
Niffty blinked, still grinning before giving a thumbs up. Then, tentacles whipped out from Alastors back and the shadows of the room, quickly gathering items and clothing.
Alastor flicked the butt of his cigarette and extinguished it in his bayou.
Alastor hurried, taking many of his essential items and making them disappear safely with him with a snap. Despite the wide grin on his face, his eyes and brows made it clear something was plaguing his mind.
āRemember Niffty. Do not tell any one of my whereabouts, nor let them know that I had intentionally taken leave.ā Alastor reminded.
Niffty agreed and went off to murder rats and their children as Alastor went on to melt into the shadows.
He appeared somewhere else in a matter of a second. He was somewhere new: Gluttony. This place was chosen due to the very small likelihood anyone would even think to look for him here.
He had appeared within a honeycomb shaped home, where one of the souls he was in possession of turned pale.Ā
āW-what do you want?!ā The man panicked.
Alastorās grin widened at the delicious fear he salivated for. āThatās no way to treat a guest!ā He crooned, āsay, how about a meal for your visitor?ā Alastor said, before pushing three tentacles from behind him, pushing the man against the wall as Alastor grabbed a kitchen knife.
āI am so grateful for your hospitality that Iāll help by chopping up the main course! Red meat.ā He said with a snarl as he gruesomely killed the gluttony sinner.
From the second that Lucifer was invited into heaven, he was very doubtful that heād be aloud to stay long. Charlie and Vaggi of course wanted to visit sir Pentious as soon as possible, so that left Lucifer and 2 buff angels to chaperone him as he walked around heaven.
His first stop- his hotel room. The walls were a cream color, all of it lacking dark colors. Lucifer sat on the bed, cushy and warm, it was very tempting to just lie down and sleep since he hadnāt slept the night prior, but he wanted to lay visits to those he hadnt seen in a while.
First was the Speaker Of God.
When he had stepped into the large, circular building that was often occupied by the speaker of god, a bashful shyness sunk into Luciferās bones. He wanted to turn back around. Heād only gotten a few steps in when he pursed his lips, and brows furrowed. Lucifer turned around to leave when all of the sudden-
āCan it be?ā A soothing voice rang from behind him.Ā
It was her, the speaker of God. She looked both concerned and relieved all in one.
āI-ā¦ā Lucifer paused.Ā
It was like all of the thoughts and words that Lucifer had wanted to say just left him. His bodyguards stayed at the door of the court.
āLucifer, it has been so long⦠might I ask why you are here?ā She asked, trying her best to create comfort.
āSpeaker. I have come to say,ā Lucifer paused, trying to gather his scattered thoughts.
āTo say Iām sorry. Iām sorry for everything. Although it has been several millennia since my banishment, I am still shameful and so sorry for all of the times I may have been difficult or unfaithful while you had been so patient and kind.ā Lucifer croaked.Ā
The words were almost painful to say.
The speaker crouched a bit, getting closer to Lucifer.
āNever ever apologize. Though you have made mistakes. And although they led you to hell, never, my child, never apologize for your time up here.ā The speaker stated.
Her golden aura made Lucifer feel warm as he stared at his feet. The speaker raised a hand and gently guided Luciferās chin to look up into her eyes.
āStarlight, I am so happy to see you.ā
Lucifer couldnāt help but hold onto his hat tighter in his hands, and try and blink away tears.
Alastor hummed in the kitchen of the gluttony sinner. The sinners body had been seasoned, cooked, and made into a lovely meal. He ate with gusto, allowing himself to feel gluttonous in honor of his temporary hiding place.
Alastor dabbed his mouth with a napkin as he finished his food and stood up, his shadow curling along the floor.Ā
āIf my predictions are correct. And Lucifer is going to gain the ability to attack sinners -me, then that idea demands I rest up if Iām to defend myself in the near future.ā He commented to his shadow, as Alastor walked through the house, looking for a good place to make a bed appear.
