hello! i’ve been sitting here considering reviving this blog since my housemate dragged me back into lavellan hell. but also... man... it’s so much work?? deleting my old posts, making new icons, making a new theme because trends have (THANKFULLY) moved on from tiny container boxes... is it Worth It. but i miss my girl, and i miss the dragon age verse and i miss writing with people in it.

is the darp community any better than it was 4 years ago? i dunno. do people still look down on new f-lavellan blogs? i dunno. can anyone out there, like, cast a lifeline by letting me know what the darp community is like nowadays? how receptive would they be to a new lady lavellan blog? have people, like... chilled the fuck out since 2016?

Should I Bang the Demon?

A Dragon Age Guide to fucking demons:

Wisp Wraith: Fuckability score: 1/10. These don’t look like much and just sort of make wooshing noises. The proof is in the name: Wisp. You can’t fuck a wisp. Next demon, please.

Pride Demon:  Fuckability score: 6/10. Pride Demons are huge, and they got that deep, rumbling voice that makes the panties drop. However, they do have massive, sharp spikes all over their body, so bring a condom, at the least. They also don’t have much in the way of lips, so don’t expect to get your ass ate. 

Rage Demon: Fuckability score: 2/10. Rage demons are literally made of fire. Maybe they can keep you warm while you jerk off to a picture of a Nightmare Demon. 

Hunger Demon:  Fuckability score: 5/10, or 8/10, depending on form. These motherfuckers are either ripped or have big jiggly bellies, depending on what area of the Fade you’re in. Seek out your favorite aesthetic and ride that dick. The best part is, it’ll want to watch you eat pancakes later. Maybe it’ll eat pancakes off of you? Who knows, the Fade is fucking great man

Desire Demon:  Fuckability score: 4/10. Look, part of the fun of fucking a demon is you never really know what you’re gonna get. It might be an endless gaping maw, or a fat bellied hell-creature bent on destroying your ass. Who can say. To that end, a desire demon is somewhat dull in comparison. Like, oh boy, you can change into a sexy dude with abs and glistening pecs. I didn’t come to the Fade for Cut Dudes, my friends. 

Terror Demon:  Fuckability score: 7/10 Long arms with which to hold you and at your climax, they’ll drag you underground and scream until you’re deaf and frankly, who could ask for anything more? Points deducted for having ugly mouths. 

Nightmare Demon:  Fuckability score: 10/10 (Hearteyes) The Nightmare Demon is as good as you’re gonna get in the Fade. His dulcet tones and desire for instruction will leave you howling for days. Just picture him, standing before you, otherworldly appendages brushing back a lock of your hair while telling you to remove your shirt, and then your smallclothes, and then your sense of propriety. He might even be kind enough to give you a spiked throne to perch on.

Despair Demon:  Fuckability score 2/10. They have no lips. Just three rows of teeth. Also, they leave behind a sickening fug, and who wants pussy that tastes of despair? Worse than ham.

“My lady.” Eden greeted with a smile as his slender fingers clumsily plucked at the lute’s strings. A humbling sound echoed quietly through the gardens and he hoped to cascade a relaxing feeling of home. 

The news of his mage companions brought a brightness to his eyes and a smile to his face. “I am happy to hear that, your worship.– and no, you’re not interrupting.”  

Despite his happiness, his tone remained timid and conserved. It wasn’t every day that the Inquisitor would stop by for idle conversation. 

“So..” he began awkwardly. “How are you doing? Being named Inquisitor must be over whelming.” 

a soft sigh, and she lowers herself onto the bench next to him. ❛ it’s ... difficult. so many people assume me to be some sort of icon – herald, leader to be looked up to – but i’m stumbling just as much as they are. ❜   as she speaks, a small nug with a blue ribbon around its neck ambles up to lay down at her feet.   the inquisitor leans down to scratch its ears in response.  ❛ hello, snuffles. ❜ a small smile finds its way onto her lips, and she turns to look over at eden once again. ❛ but that’s enough about me. tell me about yourself. ❜

he can FEEL the presence of a spirit in that skull atop her staff, and he’s perfectly aware that it can feel him as well. he can only hope it doesn’t have a direct link of communication with the woman herself.

❛ yes, i am. ❜   she nods respectfully, but there’s an uneasiness settling in her chest – tempest never gets this angry, and if it does, usually it simply flickers back into the fade to avoid being corrupted. it’s almost like it’s trying to warn her of something.  after a moment or two,  she feels the fading of life that signifies valor leaving  the physical plane. well –– it’s alright. perhaps that’s for the best. she stands at full height and gives him an inquisitive look, curiosity overriding suspicion. ❛ and you are – ? ❜

It was something she had never seen before, but then again everything that was happening had been completely new and confusing. A giant hole in the sky, rifts forming out of nowhere and demons walking out of them was terrifying to her ( as it was probably for many others ) and she couldn’t even begin to imagine how all of this was going to be stopped. 

     “I was just wondering how you got it and how does it work and–” she stops herself, feeling bad about the amount of questions she throws at the inquisitor. The girl had no right to ask these things, even if she was curious. “Sorry. I shouldn’t have asked that.” 

❛ it’s alright. you don’t have to apologize. ❜ she sits up straighter, eyes boring into the young girl.    it must be terrifying, all this;  if eruli were more charismatic,       she would use it to keep fear at bay as much as she could. luckily, cole is here for that purpose. easing pain, providing compassion to those who need it.          the least she can do is explain something unknown and  make it known. what’s known is less feared.

❛ i’m sure you have heard of the conclave.  i didn’t learn what happened until i saw it in echoes from the fade, but ... apparently, corypheus had the divine.        he was going to sacrifice her to gain power –– and the orb he  was  carrying  was  magical. divine justinia kicked it out of his hands; i caught it, and it exploded. i suppose the orb, or the anchor it bestowed, protected me from death, but everyone else...   the world lost too many good people that day. as for how it works,         the anchor seems to be some sort of bridge between the physical world and the fade. it closes and opens rifts. sometimes spirits are drawn to it on the other side, and i hear whispers, but our experts have informed me that they are no more harmful than spirits that come to mages in their dreams.        i’ve been able to converse with some, occasionally.    most of the time, they can’t hear me. the problem is that the more spirits gather, the more the mark hurts. those are the basics – is there anything specific you wish to know? ❜

i think the thing about tempest (and the spirit of valor within) – the reason it hasn’t turned into a demon yet – is that it was never bound to its position. the open portal between the fade and the world created by the staff was less of a binding spell than an invitation, and when it saw who picked up the staff, it knew that she was going to change the world. and even now, the staff itself is a remnant of a rift, so it’s a very weak point in spacetime between the world and the fade; valor can flicker back into the fade whenever it wants to. it just... chooses not to most of the time. it either gets really angry or vacates the premises© whenever there’s somebody nearby who has a corrupted or corrupting soul. eruli can tell when it vacates because the staff becomes fairly lifeless again, but she doesn’t mind – from everything solas has told her, spirits sometimes can’t survive the people they encounter, and valor knows when it needs to step back in order to not become rage.  even so, it always comes back. which is really sweet? eruli and this spirit have a friendship that literally transcends the veil; it’s unprecedented (other than cole, who needed to take a human form) for a spirit to remain outside of the fade like this without becoming a demon. and it does it because of its symbiotic relationship with the inquisitor. i’m so !! happy over these two friends!!!

because of eruli’s affinity towards storm magic, she carries a lot of static electricity. nearly every time she touches metal, she’ll get shocked and let out a little squeak of surprise. many of her companions find it quite amusing, until she touches them and they get shocked, too.
