Now I've read something that I still don't understand (and would like to).

People on social media call it ridiculous and cringe about how writers continue to portray the way Charles expresses himself about Erik. "He's very gay," they say. "In the original series it wasn't like that" they also comment (which, by the way, is the continuity of the 92 series). "That's how friends treat each other" I also read.

But, lemme say this.

They were always dramatic. Whoever has seen Magneto's speeches will understand. They have always made Charles a person who speaks very poetic. There is no hidden material that reveals how much what happens to the other affects them. and they talk and talk in a poetic way. So yes, they're intense about how they relate. Just accept that they've always been like this.

But what makes me laugh the most is that you are a fan of Xmen, which was born as a criticism of the segregation, discrimination, hatred and displacement of all minorities (and that still persists) in history, and you get angry that two characters share, regardless of who it is, a little of this message?

Erik often flirts with Charles in German but he says it in an aggravated tone to make it sound like an insult so no one suspects them. (German is already such an aggressive sounding language that even the sappiest sentence still sounds like a death threat 😅). Nightcrawler always understands though, and Erik almost threatened him once to not expose them

This is loosely based on a comic but Mags is scary good at voice impressions, with his best being Gandalf.

He can also impersonate Severus Snape, Dumbledore, and Sherlock Holmes. He could probably also impersonate a few X men if he tried. However he would never doing it in front of anyone except Charles, Lorna and Wanda. (Sober at least)

3. Erik paints his nails, usually red, violet or black. Though he doesn't always find the time to do it.

4. I fear this one might be common but Charles loves playing with Erik's hair and beard when they're alone. Erik pretends to be reluctant or annoyed by it but he really enjoys it. Charles knows he's acting tough with no mind reading needed.

5. I believe Magneto is the type villain to beat the breaks off of you then when he's done with you he'd say something like "congratulations on your marriage " cause he noticed your ring and you're like "Uh thanks dude, but you almost killed me???"

6. Mags can sometimes feel when his mind is being read. He can't block it without his helmet but he can sense it

The Professor's grief is unbearable and I hate watching him suffer at the start of the episode. He's says it's therapy, but really it's obvious he's just punishing himself by recreating the events of Magento's death in the Danger Room. He blames himself he couldn't do more to save Magento's life after he gave all his strength and power to save the X Men and Xavier himself.

It's never easy losing somebody close to you and losing Magento has blown Xavier's heart apart. The loss of Magento is truly the worst loss Xavier has ever suffered. Worst than any previous pain or heartbreak from the original series and it'll be a long time before it's ever put back together again.

People who claim Magneto being a survivor of the holocaust "makes no sense" because "he would be too old" PISS ME OFF SO MUCH IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE. People NEED to be reminded of the horrors that happened in those camps. All the death, torture, SA, starvation, ect, because it's still happening. Palestinians in Israel's detention camps in Gaza, Immigrants in the United States being held in ICE camps, and just ICE as a whole. Max Eisenhardt/ Erik Magnus Lehnsherr's Judaism is an INTEGRAL piece of his character, his ideology, his purpose, but it also serves to remind US of all the human beings out there who are experiencing similar things RIGHT NOW. Mutants have always represented "minorities " who experience oppression. People of color, queer people, women, people who follow different religions, different lifestyles, all and so much more. So tell me why supposed X-Men "fans" seem to have forgotten about it.

People saying ‘Weapon X, Lies, and DVDs’ is filler are wild to me because it so clearly fits the theme of the season which was so clearly laid out by Rogue in episode 4. This season is about the different types of love and how they hurt us and how we still need them. Jean and Scott with Nathan, Charles and Erik, Rogue and Gambit, Morph and Wolverine: a core part of it is love and pain. Jean and Scott cannot stay and raise Nathan, Charles loses Erik in traumatic fashion, Rogue mourning Gambit while a more complex truth awaits her, and Logan can’t see himself as more than a weapon only good for one thing no matter how much that hurts the people around him, no matter how much Morph deserves better.
