SUMMARY :

Play in a world where humans keep blind eyes just like the other creatures didn’t exist. Keep your promise to your childhood friends. Get your own power which determines your tier in society.

Is the world just like the one you knew so far? Or is everything just a lie?

However, when the world demands you to choose, which side will you choose?

Let’s meet the Characters so far:

Oswald [M, Human]: A Sage who runs away with a baby. He had a chain tattoo on his right hand and a bracelet with an alignment of colorful stones rune stone on his left wrist.

Allen / Ellene [M/F, Human]: MC step-brother / step-sister. The relationship with MC is close as ever like a real family. Have a big ambition to become Royal Guardian.

Helena [F, Human]: MC stepmother. A baron wife, have a bakery as a business even before getting the title. She insists on working there even when she gets the title.

The Royal Guardian of Yir Laccramatea!

Ivorry [F, Human]: A Royal Guardian Elite second in command of the second division. A girl who enjoys everything in life. She is an impulse person who makes everyone question her motives. Despite her personality, she is a dependable figure for the second division who always being abandon by their leader.

Leon [M, Human?]: A Royal Guardian Elite Leader of the third division. His group consists six-member team. He is a strict and stoic person. Had a cool personality but his team will argue the opposite. His aloofness always makes others think of him as a rough person.

Nyx [F, Human?]: A Royal Guardian Elite Third division. She is the second in command of the third division. A seducer of the team, and have a curvy body to support everyone’s claim. She looks attentive, but even Caerulus won’t steal anything from her. Have two kinds of whips as a weapon. She and Ivorry exchange some common respect as they both have a similar personality. The only make it difference between them is Ivorry will show her dislike, while Nyx will always put on a smile.

Caerulus [M, Human?]: A Royal Guardian Elite Third Division. He held a spear as a weapon. Kleptomania, he always tries to steal shiny things, and sometimes more. He always acts whatever he likes.

You’re a mercenary, gun for hire, assassin, information extractor, delivery person – call it what you want, because the people that hire you for your services don’t give much of a shit what you call yourself as long as you actually get them what they want.

Your last delivery ended with you – or rather the body you have decided to take over that day – as well as your delivery getting killed. The boss is pissed now and demands you fix your mistake or else you’ll be a head shorter. Not really a look you think you can pull off so you set out to fix what you fucked up, if it just weren’t for that mask wearing asshole that wants to cut your adventure – and life from the looks of it – short.

REMEMBER, YOU WILL DIE is an interactive novel playing in the fictional city Vapolis, where you take on the job as a mercenary with a very special ability, looking to find out who has their deadly sights set on you.

ORLA [ female ] your boss and the owner of the saints & sinners. orla has been around for as long as you can remember, always working from the safety of her club und gathering as much dirt on people as she can get her hands on. she never tells you what she does with the info she has, but if you know her at all, you can guess why no one tries to run her off the streets of vapolis.

JAX [ male ] as bouncer of the saints & sinners and right hand man of orla, jax knows what is going on in the dark underbelly of the city. he is the man you call when it is time to get rid of a body or you need extra firepower, seeing he is almost as mysterious as he is good with a gun in his hands.

ROYAL [ non-binary ] royal is a little bit of everything. bartender and hacker, they know how to track you down wherever you are. often underestimated, they have learned to see the positives in flying under the radar and are incredibly good with a SocialLink in their hands and a couple of minutes of uninterrupted time.

DANTE/DELILAH [ gender cust. ] only having recently met them in this life, you are not yet quite sure what to think of them. there’s a certain darkness in their mismatched eyes you grow to recognize in your own.

THE MERC [ main ch. ] taking on the role as the merc in vapolis, you are somehow infamous for your approach to jobs and are never out of work. you might be a terrifying character on the streets of vapolis, but you’re by far not the deadliest.

Hello I just read the demo, I love the story but will you add more (and diverse) choices? So far it doesn't feel like an If but a novel. If the mc have a set personality that's understandable, because some readers don't really like to play as a pushover, especially about getting arrested against their will.

Hi! Actually, I will go back and add some new choices that made the MC have more control.

Especially in Chapter 5, which was an action-based chapter.

I played the demo from the start but for some reason, instead of going to Chapter 5, it ended the demo after Chapter 4? I was only able to play Chapter 5 after choosing it specifically in the Chapter Index page.

Also, Ellene's pronouns keep switching between he and she in the library confrontation scene, and there are also some missing 's in the sentences (ex: 'Ellene hunch' instead of 'Ellene's hunch').

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I've handled the problem and now it's resolved.

Now you can normally play the game from chapter 4 that will continue to chapter 5.

Also, fix the Sibling pronunciations.

Error in Chapter 5: I chose not to drink but in Ivorry's POV, it says MC drank the drink.

RSoFs - Update, 11/10/23.

Great news, the newest chapter, Chapter 5 is now live!

There is so much I’ve put into it, and I hope you enjoy them so far!

There might be some additional updates alongside the ‘restart’ function that I haven’t put into Chapter 5 yet.

Side note: If I'm being honest, I’m not really satisfied with the content of Chapter 5 yet. So, I might put the more satisfying closure for chapter 5 that I originally planned later.

For now, I hope the newest chapter will answer some of your questions.

RSoFs - Update, 11/5/23.

Hi, today I’m gonna share the exciting news. RSoFs chapter 5 will be released publicly on 9 November, this Thursday!

There are a few issues with the code I had to fix before the release. And now onto what will be released on Thursday?

- Newest upcoming chapter, the chapter 5 (and also the latest chapter I’ll release for the demo.).

- Another bad ending?

- Three different routes.

- Another P.O.V from one of the characters. (Spoilers, it’s not from the LI/RO. Not now at least.)

- A lot of choices.

- Some other secrets, you have to encounter yourself.

I’ve released the alpha version on my patreon a week ago, and forgot to announce it. (My bad. It’s probably filled with a lot of error too :’))

As for extra content schedule on patreon will be released at the end of this week. For Q4 2023 and Q1 2024.

RSoFs - Update, 10/2/23.

Here is for newest update,

Firstly, the alpha demo last part will be launched around 18-24 oct. While the public update of chapter 5 will be released publicly around 30 oct-5 nov (this is done for editing, smoothing all the codes and readability). I couldn’t pinpoint and promise the exact date because of how busy I’ve been.

This update will include most of the playable route, and last of the public demo update. Hopefully it will be done by then.

For the patreon content that wasn’t up for sometime will be up today. It's already finished for a while but I haven’t got a chance to post it. I’m sorry for the delay. There will also be a following update for the behind the scenes next time on patreon.

RSoFs, Patch notes, 8/28/23.

It’s been weeks since my last update. But today I have something special. I’ve put up a poll about what you guys want to see next. And by miracle you guys vote for the rune symbol and chibi version of characters. So today I especially put out some of the rune symbols and their small description of what's it being used in real life, in patreon.

Other than that I’m solely focused on writing and editing ch 5. When is the chibi version of the character and the remaining rune design? Please look forward to it next time! And when is the next Alpha update? I plan to put it in the middle of September. I hope it will be done by then. *crying alone in my room*

RSoFs, Patch notes, 7/15/23.

Ch 5 Alpha ver 0.02 is now released for Patreon. It’s finally finished. The alpha version part 2. I can say, It was a lot. A few things change from my initial idea. Some are better, and some need some checking if it fits.

Okay, now that's out of the way, here is a glimpse of v.0.02 patch note:

-It's not a perfect version of the game. It's an Alpha version. -Another major choice unlocked. -Fixed the bug regarding the relationship for sibling characters. (Update even to the public demo version) -Fixed the bug that changes MC name to unknown. (Update even to the public demo version) -Fixed some minor sentences, grammar issues for ch5

“I told you, I tried to help someone. I got carried away and followed them. Instead of helping, I cowardly hid. Somehow that resulted in my power getting summoned. The Royal Guardian found me and offered me to join. That’s all.”

I think there is an error because I chose MC to face the thugs first time around?

Also, for some reason, MC's name doesn't appear in the stats page. It just says "Unknown". It also says "Unknown" during the rune test.

Ok, I'll try to find the root of this problem. I'll address this when the bug is fixed later. Thank you, sorry for the late answer.

RSoFs, Demo Update, 7/9/23.

It's been a while since my last update. I did put an update (on 3rd July) on my Patreon, but too busy to put an actual update here. I'm really sorry about that. 😅

Ok, going back to the update.

Alpha progress 3, what to expect on the next update?

-another major choice unlocked. -meeting with some other RO (on another major route) along the way. -Magic usage on the last update is now fully unlocked. -Fixed sentence.

When will this Alpha Update take place? Expect it to come around: 10-15 July.

For the error regarding the name, and another bug, I still need to address it later. But I’ll make sure to fix it before Ch 5 becomes public.

RSoFs, Demo Update, 6/19/23.

Hello everyone! First, I need to say, I’m sorry for disappearing for the past two weeks! Really sorry. I just got overwhelmed with work, mental problems, and my physical health didn’t help much. And I am ashamed to say I crumble in real-life problems and work. I’m not even touching anything related to my story. I am sorry. There is no excuse for my absence. Yes, juggling between personal projects, work, social life, and some other things is so hard. I return today, but I can’t promise I will never rebound. Life is full of unexpected events and uncertainty.

Second, let me answer the ask tomorrow because now is almost 1 am. For Patreon, don’t worry, the one that gets halted is only the weekly update. The content for this month is released today! I’ll do my best to deliver next month’s update and the next Alpha version! Don’t worry, I didn’t abandon this project. Just got very busy with some real-life problems. I wish to dig myself into the sand. I was not kidding about delivering the next update a bit late.

Ch 5 Alpha ver 0.01 is released. Finally, now I can sleep in peace, for now. Since I'm here, let me share some patch notes. This is the first time I've made patch notes. But since the Alpha is here, might as well, right?
