Alice stared quietly as the Faunus thought, only speaking when she finished answering her question. “I do not know why liking history would be lame, but it sounds like a valid interest as anything else.” She cocked her head to the side. “Anything that helps one understand oneself is always a worthwhile endeavor.”

"For you, it’s history. For me, it’s meditation." She added with ever-present monotone.

"I can only imagine that if you’re in Beacon, you must be remarkable in some way, and it’s odd that you wouldn’t know what you’re remarkable at." Alice replied with calm bluntness as the bunny girl stared at her feet.

"It sounds to me like you’re missing something…" Her shoulders lifted in a mechanical shrug. "…But I wouldn’t know what."

"How is life as a Faunus?"

"W-Well, while I'm not remarkable at fighting in any way, shape, or form... I can really hold my own with my rocket launcher and know how to effectively use it b-both offensively and as a distraction if I need to... d-dare I say, high tail it out of there." Velvet nervously giggles at her own pun.

She then fidgets more as she's asked about being a Faunus. Should she outright lie or tell it as it is? Someone like Alice would probably smell a lie in a heartbeat. Tears form in Velvet's eyes and she wipes them away. "I-It's awful! Everyone hates you j-just by seeing you, and you're a subhuman piece of trash that is a waste of everyone's time!"

And then she starts crying.

The girl nodded her head as Velvet inquired about asking, unaware of her fellow student’s distress and nervousness. Alice could tell that there was something off about her whole demeanor - but what…she couldn’t point out.

Inclining her head at the question, Alice tapped her chip in contemplation. “My interests include meditation, Dust, and - I suppose -acquiring new medical recipes. My special abilities revolve around the former two.”

"How about yourself?"

"I like... um. Well." Velvet fidgets a bit as she thinks to herself. What does she like? "W-Well... I guess my primary interest would be history, s-sorry if that sounds lame... but, it helps me to learn more about why I am the way I am... You know, being a faunus and all that."

Velvet takes a bit of a pause as she tries to figure out her skills. "I-I don't really have any remarkable skills..." She looks down at her feet. "Or, if I do... I don't know what they are..." She looks back up

The Bunny Diary: Entry Two

Hello again, diary. Today I made a fool of myself in front of people again, hooray for me! Go Velvet Scarlatina, woo!

Okay um, enough fake congratulating myself, I'm much more pathetic than I thought... wow. But so, diary, how have you been? Wait. Why am I asking a diary how it is? You don't have feelings, you're a book. But I guess... I don't really have feelings either, do I? I'm just a sub-human thing with bunny ears and a freak of nature who almost everyone hates, and probably for good reason too...!

I don't have any special skills or anything like that, and these freakish bunny ears keep me in this disgusting place on the social totem pole, but that's where I belong. No one should waste their time with me. Yet people do. Those that try to make me feel better... yeah, they do sometimes, but is it really worth their time to waste on me?

I don't think so, considering I'll just be in a self-deprecating mode in a few minutes after they cheer me up anyway. I can't even talk to people one-on-one, much less have any sort of relevance to anything at all. I mean, my own team even wants nothing to do with me...

I'm a loser, and that's that.

"Sorry... again! I just, I'm not good with people... a-at all. And um... I get scared easily because of how people treat me. I-I'm not lame, am I?"

Velvet gives a wave to the redhead and forces herself to smile, despite still being scared. She's heard of some good things from this student... and how much of an ally she is to the Faunus race.

"H-Hello there...! I'm Velvet, and I... thinkyou'rereallycool." Gee, way to make a first impression. "Y-You've done a lot of great things for p-people like me, miss... eheh."

The blonde stared piercingly at the bunny girl, blue eyes locking onto her brown. Her expression loosened after a moment with Alice replying, “My name is Alice Walker.”

It wasn’t exactly social hour yet for her, but she supposed that this encounter would count towards her social quota for the day.

"…It’s nice to meet you. Would you like to ask me questions as per normal socialization etiquette for meeting someone for the first time?"

That's one intensive glare, which causes Velvet to get a bit more nervous by the second. She mentally asks herself why is she so terrible with people... why can't she hold a single conversation without wimping out... gah. So much she wants to do but can't...

"U-Uh! Sure, I guess... if you want me to, that is."

Velvet takes a moment to try to think of a question, "So, um, what are your interests, A-Alice? Do you... have any special skills or anything like that?"

Tei would blink before he sit down and look at her as he was now a bit below her as he said, “Please don’t be scared, I’m Tei… and who may you be?” the towering titan would look at her.

Velvet calms down a little bit. "I'm Velvet. S-Sorry for being scared, it's just that a lot of people are mean to me... and stuff... so I kind of just react that way to everyone but you're really big and um... yeah. Sorry again, for accusing you of that..."

Whoa. That's a... pretty big person. And Velvet is instantly scared. "P-Please don't hurt me... meep..." She shakes a little bit, wishing she could just run off.
