[Stares at the wreath of flowers in front of the door. He didn't know what to do with them, as it was obvious this was sent to the wrong address.] ...Cute.
Deer In The Headlights || Lumina & Wizard
Lumina waited patiently at the door a little worried about the person in the house who was taking a long time to answer his door. She was considering leaving when suddenly the door was opened by a man wearing strange clothing and who seemed to be annoyed.
"Oh," Lumina brushed her skirt down and spoke quickly, "Um well I just felt like I had to tell you thereās something up on your roof and I didnāt know if you knew since you didnāt seem to notice it." Lumina glanced to the top of his roof and back to him, "Uhm, Iām sorry to bother you but you have to see this."
They were a fresh-faced and somewhat skittish girl. He still had trouble placing her name, though.
"On the roof..." He rubbed the side of his cheek wearily; it was obvious that this was related to the loud sound. But how could this human had arrived so soon after? Perhaps she was one of those young mortals who enjoyed playing pranks. He couldn't tell whether she was awfully sincere or phony.
"Hopefully she speaks of no folly..." he mumbled, now leaning further into the doorway with a sigh. The only way to find out was to play along.
Deer In The Headlights || Lumina & Wizard
Lumina was strolling along through Castanet town looking for something to do when all of a sudden the earthy shook and a huge thump shattered the day. She looked around nervously and spotted a strange looking man peaking out of a house with a huge metal chunk on top of the roof. She could swear he looked at her and she gulped shyly. She wondered how he hadnāt noticed the chunk of metal which she was almost positive hadnāt been there when she first came to this town.
She decided to go speak to the man at he house despite her shyness and walked all the way to the house knocking lightly on his door.
When the Wizard was back within the walls of his house he decided the problem was that he was a light sleeper. He was somewhat ashamed of having blacked out for a month, but even then he still wanted a couple days more. So naturally when there was a knock on the door he felt a little irritated.
"Hm..." he wondered if it would be worth answering at all. After all, there was fat chance that the Goddess was in trouble again. Then again, he did not want rumours to rise about him. With one hand rubbing his lid, he received a stranger.
"Well..." he mumbled with dull surprise."What... do you want..."

Wizard had been dormant for the past moon. Weeks and weeks without slumber had finally taken its toll on the immortal. Truth was, he would've slept longer if he hadn't been so rudely awakened.
He was outside of his home, squinting as an old man would in the dark. (Do not be deceived: it was early in the morning. His eyes were having trouble adjusting to the light.) Ā What exactly had caused such a loud noise?Ā
As he leaned against the door, Castanet came into focus. At the moment he had absolutely no idea of what had happened before his coma. He had absolutely no idea that the source of the noise was a fallen piece of space junk now located on his roof, either.Ā
"... Imaginary..." Ā he mumbled to himself with a slow shrug. (Anybody coming from a distance could see that the gigantic hunk of metal was definitelyĀ notĀ imaginary.)
Is it true that if I stay a virgin until I'm 30, I will be like you?
Perhaps it would be... wiser... to ask the Witch of Fugue...
Huh? * Brows knit together as she crosses her arms over her chest.* What, is that not how youāre supposed to say it? āLived here long enough?ā *Waves her hand dismissively.* Listen, English isnāt my first language; I donāt even know what Iām saying half the time, but letās just put it this way; Iāve had enough āmysticalā and āout of the ordinaryā experiences in the past four years Iāve been living here to last me a life time and not think twice about āstrangeā things I see.
*Glances to the other Mushroom* ā¦ā¦ā¦thatās a Fugue.Ā
Ā [Holds his hand up, as if to apologize]Ā I understand... it is difficult, being ... a civilian. English still obfuscates itself... to me... [Lowers hand and rubs his eye] Ah yes... you were almost... dragged into them, were you not... but everyone has something important... [Continues mumbling to himself, before glancing at the Fugue Mushroom too]
...Well... did you ever wonder how a Fugue Mushroom... was bewitched?
[Blanches and gulps, narrowing her eyes at the crystal ball after the mention of 'two men'.] Uh... [Glances up at him before back to the crystal ball, unsure if what she's seeing is really in the ball or just her mind playing tricks on her. Two names came to mind easily enough.] Yeah, yeah. I see two of them. I... think.
[Nods in accordance, although it was probably in her mind] ... I see... that every time you try to peer closer... they are farther away... [Stays silent for a little, before:] ...Which path do you take?
*Selena barges in, swaggering up to the Wizard with a little smile on her face.* Wizard! Darling! We don't talk, do we? Shame; you're such an interesting man. *She gazes at the man's crystal ball.* How much is a fortune?
[Looks up once he hears the door swing open, greeting her with a lethargic blink] I have forgotten ... how to engage in small talk... [Opens his mouth to react to the comment before following her gaze] It can be ... discussed.
A crossroads? [Suddenly leans in closer, hands resting on her knees.] Yeah! Yeah, okay. What else? [Stares at the crystal ball intently, briefly glancing up at him before returning her attention to the crystal ball.]
[Deep in concentration] Ah... there is- never mind... [Shakes head, taking another glance at the crystal ball] It is... unclear... but... can you see.. two men...?
[Follows the other man into the darkening room, frowning at the curtains as he closes them - and continues to stand awkwardly in the middle, not quite committing to sitting down at the nearby table.] What do you mean - shun fate? [Pouts slightly, eyebrows knit.] What - are you saying that you can read someone's purpose in life?
[Drifts to the back of the room, shaking coffee powder into a cup] You do not... wish to accept my fortunes. Maybe it is contempt... [Shrugs, then turns with a squint] ... ... ... That would be dangerous... very dangerous.
[His expression seems slightly quizzical, but it doesnāt seem to be such a big problem, so he lets it go.]
Yesā¦ they wereā¦ desperateā¦ it was a miserable state to be inā¦ ā¦ ā¦ [Falls silent, deep in thought, before shaking his head gently.] in any caseā¦ you are right.
[Points...
Lived here... long... you say...? [Murmurs with a glance towards the general direction of Mt. Garmon. He still remembered the Goddess' singing crisp as day] That is... a relative statement. As normal as... any fungus can be... [Speaking in a drawl] Taking up time and space.. nothing more... [Shakes head, then points at another patch, but this time Fugue] And this... extraordinary, correct?
[Blinks.] S-Someone's heart in particular? Uh... [Glances around as the room darkens and takes her seat, staring intently into the crystal ball, feeling like this might be a bit cheesy but hey, what does she got to lose?] Let's stick to the broader scope for now, I think.
[Blinks in agreement and brings himself up to the crystal ball.] Broader scope ... [Closes eyes. A couple of fingers were pressed to his face, before opening them once again. He drew his hand over the surface of the crystal] Foggy... I see... you... at a crossroads... hm...
Oh yeah? Well if they're so /real/, I'm certain you wouldn't mind showing me evidence of their legitimacy. [Sticks his nose up arrogantly.] I'll purchase one.
[Stares, half his face cast in shadow, as the other man sticks his nose up. Inhales patiently.] As you wish. [Folds arms behind his back as retreats to the room. He's admittedly wondering about the man.] ... [Draws curtains] You must not... shun fate. We each serve a purpose... some more important than others.
