Just began prep for my first ever time DMing (it's gonna be a homebrew bc I hate myself apparently)
Experienced DMs please for the love of God help me I have no idea what I'm doing
Mood
The more sessions yoy play the better DM you will become. If you know the group well it will be easier. You can ask your players how the session went afterwards if your worried. Just keep in mind that everyone has a different play style and that's OK; its what makes D&D so amazing.
Stop posting politics, I follow you for the d&d not to hear your crybaby liberal sjw bullshit. Stick to dungeons and dragons. No one keeps chicks or gays from video games so stop crying
Look, I could go on and on about the prevailing tropes in gaming, especially fantasy gaming, that have made the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, and women uncomfortable. I could share personal experiences. I could talk about how the influx of progressive writers, LGBTQ+ writers, writers of color, and female authors has made gaming MUCH better.
But that takes time, and you only want me to talk about Dungeons and Dragons. So I’ll do that.
Ability Scores
Intelligence is knowing that tomatoes are a fruit
Wisdom is knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit smoothie
Constitution is being able to drink the tomato-smoothie anyway
Strength is being able to force someone else to drink your tomato smoothie
Charisma is convincing someone to put a tomato in a smoothie
Dexterity is being able to doge tomatoes being thrown at you for suggesting that you put them in the smoothie
Am I the only one whose dm because they kind of suck at actually playing
