wait everyone put in the tags where u were when u found out about the nationwide/global covid shutdown. i was eating a bag of chips on the roof of the remote building where i was leading a retreat and i had to help break the news to 50 high school students who didn’t have their phones

#my work was remote to begin with so it didn't have a huge impact on me #my mom and dad got sent home pretty early on though since they were non-essential workers at a state hospital #i think the big shutdown hit about a week after i got back from pax east #where i had hung out with a ton of friends and coworkers for the whole weekend #so it was a real sharp turnaround #honestly i was lucky i wasnt part of a superspreader event bc there was a biochem conference going on at the same time #in boston that WAS a superspreader event. and i was staying in a hostel with people who def went to that conference. kjghdfkhjgdf
