Life without Jesus feels a lot like an identity crisis. You forget your worth. You question your purpose. You are unable to recognize the love, and good things in your life. You can’t see past your mistakes, and recognize all the amazing things you can contribute. Point blank: you don’t know who you are. But when you place your complete identity in Christ, all of this changes. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a process and it doesn’t happen overnight. But it can happen. Brothers and sisters, be hopeful and place your identity in Christ alone. He will change everything for you.
Sorry I got angry for like 20 seconds but I’m good now and I have no explaination I deadass don’t even understand myself

Things never happen the same way twice, dear…
C.S. Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia (via theliteraryjournals)
I'd rather have your lips on mine than his. I'd rather have your attention on me than his. I'd rather have your eyes on me than his. I'd rather your presence Your smile Your laugh Your touch Your care Your words Your support Your sensitivity Your feelings Your name
I worry some of you still have not really met Jesus — one to one — you and Jesus alone. We may spend time in chapel — but have you seen with the eyes of your soul how he looks at you with love? Do you really know the living Jesus — not from books but from being with him in your heart? Have you heard the loving words he speaks to you? Ask for the grace; he is longing to give it. Until you can hear Jesus in the silence of your own heart, you will not be able to hear him saying, “I thirst” in the hearts of the poor. Never give up this daily intimate contact with Jesus as the real living person — not just the idea. How can we last even one day without hearing Jesus say, “I love you” — impossible. Our soul needs that as much as the body needs to breathe the air. If not, prayer is dead — meditation only thinking. Jesus wants you each to hear him — speaking in the silence of your heart. Be careful of all that can block that personal contact with the living Jesus. The devil may try to use the hurts of life, and sometimes our own mistakes, to make you feel it is impossible that Jesus really loves you, is really cleaving to you. This is a danger for all of us. And so sad, because it is completely opposite of what Jesus is really wanting, waiting to tell you. Not only that he loves you, but even more — he longs for you. He misses you when you don’t come close. He thirsts for you. He loves you always, even when you don’t feel worthy. When not accepted by others, even by yourself sometimes — he is the one who always accepts you. My children, you don’t have to be different for Jesus to love you. Only believe — you are precious to him. Bring all you are suffering to his feet — only open your heart to be loved by him as you are. He will do the rest.

Take your wounds to Christ, for He knew all the hurt a soul can endure; and still He loved.

Hate will suffocate you, it will eat at your soul until you are but a shell of what you were meant to be. To love is to live, but in order to love correctly and fully, we must have grace, and grace begets to connection. When we hate, we break any kind of connection we might have with others, we break the source to all grace as well, and when that grace is broken, we have killed love in our lives. Loving others, whether it be our neighbors, our brothers and sisters, or our enemies, it takes grace. For love must not give from a distance, it has to be up close and personal. Because light steps into the darkness and removes that which lays there. Love and grace and communion bring about a revolution that only light brings to a dark world. So learn to love the unlovable, but have the courage to be present with those who have no grace because we are all learning and we all need grace to find the love this world so desperately needs.

Even if you come home late and I’m already asleep, just whisper in my ear one little thought you had today. Because I love the way you look at the world. And I’m so happy I get to be next to you and look at the world through your eyes.
Theodore Twombly, Her (via suspend)
It started with that smile, That smile where your lips never part, That smile where the corners life high enough, That smile where your cheeks rise up Talk about a trial, That trial where I was lost for words, That trial where I was lost in you, That trial where I was into you But ask me about that voice, That voice that had me captured, That voice that had me thinking, That voice that had me doubting Focused on those eyes, Those eyes that caught me blushing, Those eyes that had me swimming, Those eyes that watched me Forget about the past, The past that held me down, The past that made you you, The past that was us Tell me about her, Her with the lean body, Her with the honest intentions, Her with your heart Fantasize about a life, A life with her, A life of gold, A life without hurt Take me on a trip, A trip of ecstasy, A trip of wants, A trip of 'can't haves' Convince me I'm something more, More than a friend, More than a toy, More than a conversation Great things you led me to, Led me to trust, Led me to your lips, Led me to wonder Introduce me to your life, Life of happiness, Life of pleasure, Life of danger Consistency is key, Key to the mind, Key to the heart, Key to the bedroom Watch those hands, Those hands that caress, Those hands that touch, Those hands that please Say no more, No more you and I, No more adventures, No more daydreaming
