There's going to be another mass desertion of this fandom when we inevitably reach the point of the arc where the people who are only here for the gay subtext have to confront the fact that Saitama and Genos have an incredibly unhealthy relationship and cannot come to function as a duo without first separating in what will most assuredly be a horrifically scarring destruction of perceived trust and boundaries.

Genos not being able to trust kuseno bc he ruined his trust by being the secret mad cyborg. meanwhile saitama not actually teaching him anything despite aggreeing to be his ‘teacher’. the kind scientist isnt a kind scientist and his heroic teacher isnt very heroic neither was he actually a teacher in the first place. kindly scientist that saved his life gave genos combat gears that infuses self destruct measures and only his brain as the last human part of him. the teacher who he sought to teach him how to be destructively strong instead takes him out to eat, to enjoy the simpler things in life and to value his life more
