I just woke up and I can’t stop smiling and laughing. I can’t stop because I finally see His glorious hand working in my life. God, you are so good to me. You’ve placed a huge blessing in my life and I can’t even begin describing how they’ve beautifully led me to you. You: the One I’ve been yearning for in a deeper way.
I’m not gonna lie. I thought something was wrong with me. I asked myself in the middle of my joy:
“Isn’t it impossible to be this happy?”
As I asked myself this question, before my worries and my overthinking took on power, I felt drawn to do morning prayer (Liturgy of the Hours). I’ve never really prayed it on my own so this was very unusual of me.
As I read, prayed, and reflected on the words I kept finding affirmation that I am not crazy. This joy is authentic. This fire forming in my heart is not fake. This is from Him. Realizing this, the storms within my heart and soul vanished.
Here are some lines that struck me as I prayed:
“Rising I thank You, Mighty and Strong One. King of Creation, Giver of Rest.”
“You have filled me with gladness, Lord, I will sing for joy at the works of your hands, alleluia.”
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to make music in your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning.”
“Your deeds, O Lord, have made me glad; for the work of your hands I shout with joy. O Lord, how great are your works! How deep are your designs!”
Like, wow. Just… wow. Praise, You, O Lord. Praise you from whom all blessings flow. Blessings that take a beautiful and loving form.
