Save us!!

“Our Lord, I am waiting for you to save us.”—Genesis 49:18

Spinning on the icy freeway, I wait in terror as I feel my life begin to flash before my eyes. Then, the jerk of spinning turns into a slide down a long hill off the side of the highway. Needless to say, it was cold, snowy and we were in a white car. “What do we do?” my friend driving says. We call 911, they say it will be at least 4 hours before someone can get to us.

Lord, I am waiting for you to save us.

We get out of the car and assess the damage. Nothing too bad, some minor body damage to the car, but we are unharmed.

Lord, I am waiting for you to save us.

We get back in because we are super cold. We are coming back from vacation, so we have extra clothes. We put them on.

Lord, I am waiting for you to save us.

We get to the top of the 30 ft. hill and try to wave down a car to help us.

Lord, I am waiting for you to save us.

A tow truck drives up, gives us a jump and wenches us back up to the freeway. We make it home safely

Lord, thank you for watching over us, keeping us safe, keeping us warm, and sending an angel to help us on our way.

There is a saying that goes “once saved, always saved”…but I believe that He is constantly saving us.

Think about how he continues to save you in events that can only be marked by the touch of His hand.
