cordeliapotterâ:
âThen this is the place for you,â she hummed, shooting her a grin.
âI canât wait.â
christopherflintâ:
âNo,â he shook his head, chuckling. âIâm trying not to be as massive of a dick lately, you know.â
âSince when?â
siennarowleâ:
Sienna waited expectantly as Verity apologized, her face not betraying any of her opinions on the apology. âNot so fast,â she noted, not ready to kick Verity out. âSix months. Itâs been six months since youâve spoken to me beyond cordial logistics or thanking me for sending you flowers on your birthday, and thatâs the best that youâve come up with? You werenât bitchy to me, Verity. You were beyond cruel. My fiancĂ© had woken up from a coma two hours earlier with no memory of who I was and you spent nearly an hour questioning whether or not I had his best interests at heart while spouting some bullshit about how you were the only person who cared about him. Which, honestly, knowing how fucking terrible and guilty you make him feel sometimes is really fucking ironic. And then, as if to top it off, you were kind enough to let me know that I did not even deserve an ounce of sympathy from you because gossip rags would be more than happy to invade my personal privacy to do it instead. My best friend. You didnât upset me, you took a knife to me and fucking twisted it.â
She nodded when Sienna was finished. âIâm sorry I hurt you so badly, I shouldnât have done it or taken what I had going on out on you.â
christopherflintâ:
âProbably,â he chuckled, rolling his eyes.Â
âSo you going to go then?â
christopherflintâ:
âOur mother would kill me.â
âI feel like you could get away with anything these days by playing the head injury card.â
Christopher sighed as he took another sip of his drink, glancing around the ballroom. âHow long do you think we have to stay?â
Verity rolled her eyes, shaking her head. âIf you want to go that bad just go, Chris. Iâll say you got a migraine.â
siennarowleâ:
âOf course he did,â she murmured, looking towards Verity expectantly. âWell?â
She gave a soft breathy laugh at Siennaâs prompting, nodding a little. âYou want me out, Iâll be quick,â she said, pulling her bag onto her shoulder and crossing her arms. âIâm sorry for the way I spoke to you when Chris was hurt, and for the bitchy things I said. You were as upset as I was and I had no right to take that out on you. Iâm sorry I upset you and probably didnât help things improve between the two of you.â She paused and nodded. âThatâs it, you can kick me back out now.â
josettedolohovâ:
âSo I think itâs pretty valid.â
âBut embarrassing.â
josettedolohovâ:
âIâm not going to bring up the insane things that have happened,â she gave her a look, âbut just because they didnât happen to you doesnât mean they donât effect you.â
âClearly,â she agreed.
siennarowleâ:
âIâm sure,â Sienna hummed politely, unsure of what else to say as she crossed her arms.Â
âBut he said you were here so I wanted to come to talk to you.â
siennarowleâ:
Sienna considered turning her down, but knew that it wasnât exactly an option and eventually stepped aside to allow her into the flat. âChristopher isnât here, if youâre looking for him.â
âI know, we just had a family lunch,â she nodded. âWhich put him in a great mood going back to work so I so donât envy anyone having to work with him,â she said conversationally.Â
cordeliapotterâ:
âThe hot chocolate is superb.â
âI do really love hot chocolate.â
josettedolohovâ:
âIn relation to you.â
âI guess so.â
âI donât really know what it is you want me to say to that.â
âSure, come in?â she suggested.
remus-llupinâ:
âWell, Sirius is running late so I figured I might as well go ahead and have a round of drinks waiting for when he arrived,â he shrugged.
âKind of you.â
josettedolohovâ:
âWell, a lotâs happened.â
âNot to me.â
josettedolohovâ:
âI still happen to think youâre very fun,â she teased. âAlthough you were never normal, and I mean that as a compliment.â
âEmotionally normal then. I used to be more emotionally normal.â
