Past Lives (2023)
Damn, it hurts :(
I’m spiralling today and I don’t know how to be still and in the moment, I feel this urgency that I have to solve everything right now, something i used to feel a lot and it’s come around again ugh

Writing is honestly one of my main joys of life, one of only hobbies i really enjoy alhamdulilah, I actually look forward to it, getting lost in the story
Feeling everything so deeply is exhausting, but the more I think about it, the more thankful I am for this quality of sensitivity. It protects me. It serves as a wellspring of creativity. It enhances my intuition and allows me to appreciate beauty in the smallest nuances. It makes me want to listen, understand, and empathize with others. I get to engage with life, love, and connection in the most profound way. And while it has its challenges, being sensitive is a gift that I will never shame myself for.

“Find meaning. Distinguish melancholy from sadness. Go out for a walk. It doesn’t have to be a romantic walk in the park, spring at its most spectacular moment, flowers and smells and outstanding poetical imagery smoothly transferring you into another world. It doesn’t have to be a walk during which you’ll have multiple life epiphanies and discover meanings no other brain ever managed to encounter. Do not be afraid of spending quality time by yourself. Find meaning or don’t find meaning but “steal” some time and give it freely and exclusively to your own self. Opt for privacy and solitude. That doesn’t make you antisocial or cause you to reject the rest of the world. But you need to breathe. And you need to be.”
— Albert Camus, from Notebooks, 1951-1959

كن قوياً ، حتى عندما تشعر عظامك بأنها لا تستطيع تحمل ثقل روحك.
Be strong, even when your bones feel like they cannot carry the weight of your soul.
ready to be in a new city and have new routines, like grabbing some bread on my way home to my old apartment in an old city, also wouldn’t hurt to fall in love too, having hope for that this year insha’Allah 🥹🧡
