I love this. Been kind of sulking over turning 20 in a few months and not having accomplished half as much as I hoped I would have by now. It's easy to self-deprecate most days - veiling the many years I have ahead of me to accomplish more than I envisioned. I remember turning 15 and thinking "man, I'm getting old :/ I don't think I like it" (which was silly, looking back). When I hit 19, I thought "there go all my teen years" feeling like I haven't lived my adolescent youth to its fullest. But now here comes the big 2-decade mark, and I wonder if I'll just keep saying "there go my early twenties / another decade wasted / I'm really getting old..." And quite frankly, I don't want to keep doing that. "20 is so old" you've only been here for 2 decades. In both of them, you weren't able to drink, rent a car, or be responsible for yourself. GOSH- this is SO beautiful. It's one of those drawings that just gracefully hit you with a wave of serenity through your soul. The longer I looked the more the image seemed to come to life right before my eyes- The sound of the waves against the rocks and shore, the gentle flap of clothes moving along with the fresh breeze, the clouds in the distance shifting into different shapes... I love when fanart helps spread more attention to fics<3 You just never know how many hidden gems there are.

lord have mercy i just logged into tumblr after weeks and what do i get? Art bombed by my absolute favorite dca artists, and this one specifically just had me gripping the screen in sheer awe. The subtle shift in expressions on their cemented smiles are so telling- each frame of their faces captures a thousand unspoken words. I'm still staring. I've been staring for at least 20 minutes now. Each reexamination at every panel is a different interpretation of the thoughts that are possibly running through the vampires' minds. Man, I love art.

Wanted to draw a more realistic version of bhtf boys but kinda went a bit overboard with lighting and don't have enough energy to correct it anymore fjahjdjd oh well. Maybe another time.

I simplify their designs a lot, as I just don't really have energy to draw this much detail at all times so it might be a bit of a surprise just how neglected they look in reality lmao.

But their clothes would be constantly stained in blood and mud.(Which I unfortunately forgot to include with sun oops) Heavily patched and look very messy, like it was made by a child. Nothing about their looks would signal anything but unfriendliness, even Moon's fur somehow looks unusually spiky, clogged with dried blood and debris. It's very unpleasant to the touch when you meet them the first time. The blood on their clothes is all shades of red: faded, dry and fresh. They'd smell very distinctively of death. Rot, metal and blood. Until the first laundry day, that is.
