Like yeah, he has his family, but like four people vs. a world - that's gotta be a little daunting.

Or is he just trying to find another cryptids to be like "look, see they exist" and "look how nice/cool they are" so when he reveals his true cryptid self, people might be more likely to not be scared of him and/or like him?

my own conrad maarsden design (mostly blend of old + new)

i hate the new conrad sso design, they made him look so generic 😭😭😭 i literally dont get why they made the new design so much more,, conventionally attractive ? they shaved down all his facial features until he fit more into the safety of modern beauty standards

why does every character even need to be attractive when theyre updated? girl its a game for kids, let the characters look like normal people maybe ? its not that hard i promise

i think what pisses me off the most about the most recent development of sso is, that they remove stuff and claim they did it for us.

don't get me wrong, I know that Long running mmo do change over the years. that is not my complaint.

they did also have some really cool updates in the recent years, like the new stables where you can put your horses on "the pasture" for free, Homestable changes being for free, I quite liked the three different druid paths and the grind for the rune runner and let's not forget Marchenghast.

but they also removed a lot of old races, quest and festivals. and while some of them are understandable to me, some just aren't.

I also don't mind them merging some festivals, but to nuke some of them completely to a point you can't even recognise it? and then they claim the removed it cause "it was way too much for the player" or now with the beast for the western Camp it's: "oh the beast bothered the players"

while sure, that might be true for some of them, but the majority of people liked how unique the festivals were. I wouldn't mind if they just told us, that maybe the engine couldn't take so many events or that it was simply too outdated and they had to change or temporary remove them to recode it. Just tell us, if the og game code is outdated, but to claim it's all for "the players", cause from what I have seen so far, a lot of them hated the changes you "did for them"

it would not be the first long running mmo, that shut down for a little while to update their code. And if that meant, that we get better content again, I'm sure a lot of players would understand .now I do know, that codeing is not that simple and that it can take a while to trasfer the information and data from the old code to a new one. maybe the code is not the problem at all

i just wish they would tell us a real reason as to why they make some of these hated decisions instead of claiming that it is "for the player" without any actual benefit for us and Just watered down festivals and quests
