✿ Why was he even bothering to play innocent? After the shock he had given her, Mio would never be able to erase what happened that day from her mind no matter how hard she tried.     What was he trying to accomplish, anyways? Was he trying to lure her into a false sense of security by pretending nothing happened between them? 

   How did he even get inside in the first place? This house belonged to Gio’s older brother; he must have broken inside at some point - how terrifying!    But wait, where was Gio? Could she be dead? Did he kill her? Mio could feel her heart sink into her stomach as she wrenched open the bathroom door and promptly locked herself inside.

   It was a temporary solution, but it was all she could think of in the heat of the moment. “I already promised you that I wouldn’t tell anyone, so why did you chase me all the way out here?! You’re so cruel!”

He sighs in annoyance. “Holy shit are you really so stupid that you haven’t figured out this is my fucking house yet?” God he could go on and on about how mad he was and how obvious it was he meant no harm. He doesn’t need this kind of shit at his own private residence. He paid some of his taxes, at least some of them god damn it.

He shakes his head, “Calm down already, you’re going to wake everyone else up. I was just as shocked as you to find out you were my sisters’ friend. Leave. Stay. I don’t care just shut up already.” Donatello Versace was not a man who got along with others. Is this is what having friends was like? Him and Rykiel didn’t really have any. If this is what having friends was like, Versace was glad he didn’t have any.

An eyebrow was raised at the sound of those words. His stance immediately shifting to a more defensive one as the other male went on.

“Who are you?” He then repeated himself, his voice taking a steely note this time. “And why do you want to know?”

Versace shrugs. “ Does it matter? My name won’t help you understand, but I’m Donatello Versace.” Of course, this close ally of the Joestar family, would know his father, but he hasn’t proven that he deserves a proper explanation.

He shakes his head, both in anger in frustration. “ I’m the one asking questions. It seems you don’t understand the position you’re in.

He has his stand, Underworld, materialize a gun, seemingly out of thin air, and hand it to him. He points it at Speedwagon. “ This should make myself more clear. Your life depends on your answer, and if you tell the truth I might do you a favor and let you live.” He still wasn’t exactly sure what was going on, but the ally of his enemy is also his enemy.

You’re surprised when he finds you before you find him. Do they have pictures of you too? You should really look into this, how do they have any information on you?

“It would seem so.” You say distantly, sure to mimic him in his English, not so sure how to act. The man seems to be somewhere around your age, but his serious look almost makes you think he’s older. In fact, if you were of weaker conviction, you’d say he’s a bit intimidating. Tall, blonde, — like father, you think briefly before swallowing back a jealous thought — brooding…he’s not someone you’d keep your guard down around. 

…But he’s your brother, right? You should at least extend some courtesy. If you shut him out completely you’ll never get close.

With a less guarded expression, you smile, letting a little warmth bleed through. “I was told one of my brothers would be meeting me, I assume that’s you, right?” You’d’ like to introduce yourself by name, but you know better than to volunteer information. You settle on telling him when you aren’t in such a crowded area. If these people could find you, heaven knows who else may have eyes on you. 

He nods. “If we have the same birthmark, then we’re blood relatives. At least that’s what the priest said.” While he believed father Pucci, he didn’t want to make it seem like this was his own weird conclusion. In Versace’s mind, there was a very distinct line between ‘family’ and ‘blood relatives’. Family isn’t a concept Versace understands well, but he knows enough that it’s dangerous to call just anyone family.

“I’m sure you have plenty of questions. We should go somewhere more private.” He suggests.

He sighs, “ I’d rather not, really.” He couldn’t understand how some of the other assassins absolutely worshiped him. He was a total asshole and speaking to him always meant walking around broken glass. He was interested in working with him because they were blood relatives, but father Pucci is the real reason he came. 

Versace didn’t hate DIO, but he didn’t enjoy being around him either. He would rather respect him. From a long distance away.

“Yes to both, maybe.” He was still new to this whole ‘stand’ thing. “That doesn’t mean something good. Father Pucci wanted me to meet him, but I don’t think we’ll ever get along.” He quickly changes the subject to something more interesting. “That’s hard for me to gauge, how good my stand is. I’m really new to this, so it seems great, but I wouldn’t know how it compares to others.” He only really knew about a handful of other stand users.

          Her hand RETRACTED, and she shot the man a MOCK POUT. She wasn’t about to PROTEST the reaction because she didn’t actually CARE ( and, sure, maybe it BORDERED on a VIOLATION OF PERSONAL SPACE anyway ), but she could at least spare some FAUX INDIGNATION. quickly, however, she was back to grinning.

          “But, nah, I believe the butler thing, honestly. It wouldn’t be out of fucking place here — not that I’m judging or anything, right? But you can’t always judge a book by it’s cover. I mean, hell, i’d know that better than anyone else, y’know? Plus, I trust Steely’s word.”

He coughs, while Versace thought the same thing about Vanilla he wasn’t so shameless that he would talk about his co workers like that to each other. “Yeah, that’s him. Good luck getting any sort of conversation out of him. He’s got a one track mind I don’t think he even notices anyone other than DIO.” Like jesus christ get some personal life, a hobby or anything.

He rolls his eyes at the name. “Steely? I’m sure he’d make up any rumor for attention.” No one here was really a reliably source of information, sans a handful, but Steely was definitely on the low end of believability.
