Finishing off a design project at University and signing off on the manufacture of a product are two wildly different ways to spend an afternoon.
One is a means to help advance you to the following year or graduate, the other is a means to stay in business to the following year and grow.
One stops at the prototype stage, the other pretty much starts at the prototype stage.
Don't get me wrong, their are a lot of parallel's to be drawn between the product development process of a university project and that of a commercial product. It's just that there are lots of extra bits thrown into the mix too when a design is to cross the chasm from prototype to production...

Things We Like: Sugru. This wonder-putty is amazing! Straight out of the pack it’s like Playdo but over 24 hours it hardens to a tough rubber. You can use it to fix, hack and build to your heart’s content!
