Is it weird that I just... really dont like DTS? its not like I hate it, but I genuinely never want to watch it. it just embarrasses me, and also makes me feel deeply uncomfortable (because it feels deeply parasocial). I would rather watch the actual sport than see Netflix try and tell me my goat is 'hated by everyone' when in every interview people are like 'he's literally so supportive and nice'. Ive seen you talk about DTS, and I'm wondering what your perspective is, especially as a Max fan

First of all, I don't think anyone who is filmed for DTS doesn't want to be filmed, take Max for example, he doesn't participate and we get almost no footage of him, only from the paddock. Netflix wouldn't be allowed to film drivers outside of the paddock, during private time with their significant others, family or friends if drivers didn't agree to it. I get it feels too personal but take comfort in the fact that drivers want you to see it, otherwise it wouldn't be filmed.

As for the rest of your question, no it's not weird at all, a lot of people share your opinions, myself included. To me, the best way to describe DTS is "F1 for Americans"! It's not my intention to offend anyone when I say this but there's no other way to describe it. It's just a very dumbed down version of what F1 really is, the focus is everywhere else except the racing itself, drama is always exaggerated and in some cases completely made up for "entertainment". It's not F1, it's someone's version of F1 made up with nothing but profit in mind, that's why "real" F1 fans don't care for it. I have huge respect for Max for taking a stand against it the way he did.

Just a reminder that out of the 4 years Redbull had a championship contending car while Checo was with the team, they won 4 drivers titles, 2 constructors titles and finished 1-2 in the championship once.

Checo finished 4th in 2021, costing Redbull the constructors title that year.

Checo finished 3rd in 2022, he couldn't get 2nd in a car that won 17/22 races.

Checo finally finished 2nd in 2023, only it took him until the penultimate race in a car that won 21/22 races that season.

Checo finished 8th in 2024, not only costing Redbull the constructors title but making them finish 3rd.

Checo Snr. should think about that the next time he wants to talk about his son's contribution to Redbull, Checo couldn't even do the bare minimum that was asked of him.

Plays it safe with a rain set up - waiting 90 minutes for the rain to pass, the track to almost completely dry up and for the sun to start shining, rolling start with no DRS;

I have nothing more to say about Horner's firing except that firstly it should've happened over a year ago, meaning Jonathan would be our TP now and life would be much better and secondly that I genuinely want Max to leave so he doesn't have to waste years in the midfield while Redbull as team rebuilds. I hope he'll see that the Redbull team he's loyal to isn't the same team he's driving for now and that loyalty in F1 isn't a two way street, had he been preforming as badly the team would've looked to replace him.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm proud of Max and Redbull this weekend, it wasn't perfect but it could've and would've been much worse if it wasn't for the good work from everyone!

Starting in practice, the car was nowhere, Max couldn't even turn properly, to go from a seemingly undriveable car to being in the fight for pole is nothing short of a miracle and everyone at Redbull deserves a round of applause for that!

As for qualifying, just because Max was in the fight doesn't mean he had the fastest car or the best set up, in fact he had the most sensitive set up out of all the cars. Max setting the fastest time out of anyone in S2 and putting it on pole wasn't a sure thing, he was committed and unlike Oscar, Lando and Lewis, he made no mistakes in his final lap. He delivered when it counted!

And the race...it was always going to be though with that set up, the team hoped for dry conditions but it wasn't to be. Still with everything going against him, Max held on and in terms of strategy the team did a great job! The first pit stop to get ahead of Lando was very efficient and the second one happening at the right time to switch to slicks, we saw with George how just a few laps can make a huge difference and how easy it to get it wrong, Redbull did really good there. Speaking of other drivers I can't help but point out that out of the top 4 teams, Max is one of the few who cost himself the least (considering the car he had), Oscar gave away a win, Lewis gave away a podium, George made a mistake with the startegy calls and barely finished in the points when he was fighting for 5th or 4th, Charles' spun multiple times and dropped down and with Kimi and Yuki obviously it isn't even comparable.

Could Max have been on the podium if it wasn't for the spin? Maybe but considering the circumstances and how much he was struggling to control the car, I don't fault him too much for losing it once, especially when you see how much other drivers with better, more stable set ups struggled and went off more times than he did.

Hate that I was right about this but for me it was inevitable...

Max had quite a few smaller wobbles he was able to control in the first 20 laps, driving a lot of those laps behind the SC helped him while whatever Oscar did on that straight certainly didn't. It is what it is, RB took a risk, it didn't work out, what can you do?

Hoping Max can climb back up a little if it stays dry🤞🏻

Today Max rewrote the script by showing grace and understanding to a young 18 year old rookie who simply made a mistake. The same Max who endured years worth of criticism, hate, vilification and straight up bullying from the media and drivers whenever he made a mistake stood up for and defended Kimi.

That alongside all the help and support he'd given Gabi not just this weekend but in general plus the young RB drivers just shows who he is. No one cares more about young drivers than Max does. I couldn't be prouder of him!🧡🧡

He's had collisions and bumps with every single driver starting in front and next to him!

Maybe instead of focusing so much on a driver he hasn't raced against in 4 years and making misogynistic offensive movies he should look at his own racing stats from the past few seasons.
