Alot of the astv jeesica drew hate is bc she's not fitting the mammy stereotype that some of yall have of her in yalls heads

She literally wasn't. She was telling gwen like it is. Yall just made that Jess didn't hold Gwen's hand about it.

"How dare Jess tell gwen not to form connections with miles when she has her own man!"

Jess was looking out for gwen. Bc she (and gwen) knew what was gonna happen if miles got found out. Miles would be in trouble and gwen would be in trouble and have her heart broken. Jess was trying to prevent that.

Also ppl like to forget that Jess was the first person to vouch for gwen to be on the team and gave her second chances.

"How dare Jess side with miguel!"

Jess is just trying to protect her baby and husband and other loved ones. I get that Miguel's logic is flawed and it looks like she's gonna end up questioning it in the next movie.

Also funny how y'all talk shit about her but not spectacular spidey and the 100s of other spider-people on that team

My take is that "forced diversity" in media very much isn't a real thing but there is a trend of diversity with 0 thought put into how characters' identities affect them & if it makes any fucking sense what they're doing in the story. And also everybody forgot what tokenism is

My two cents on the Danny phantom X Constantine/Hellblazer debates crossovers is that we should maybe grant them their wish: bring back official comic crossovers.

Let's see how much they keep wanting to write headcanons when John sells that ghost brat to Satan and damns him to eternal damnation for a single cornship.
