wake up babes new ship dropped and i am going to be abnormal about it

under cut was my initial ramblings on discord

tldr; talanah's gotta pass through chainscrape to head back east yeah? Anyway I got to thinking she'd have a chance of bumping into Petra, and I assume they wouldn't really have gotten many chances to interact and mostly knew each other as allies/friends of mara aloy/the fight at meridian. So yeah Talanah could stop for a drink and have a chat, cuz they both (more talanah) probably have a rare moment where they /can/ do that.

After a couple drinks Talanah gets more comfortable conversing and Amadis naturally comes up at some point, and Talanah just, winds up pouring everything out and Petra listens and offers really solid advice on top of, what she needs most, an inviting listening ear. Basically Petra gives her space to word vomit and its something pivotal for her to begin the journey of digging deep and processing her feelings. After a (platonic) night spent at Chainscrape Talanah continues on East and does still pursue her original plans, but with a new mindset she can work through as she journeys. But the kindness and wisdom Petra shared never left her, and I like to think they wind up reconnecting when they inevitably get Focuses or smth

I think it would def be more of a slow process as I headcanon Talanah as "straight" and Petra kind of like being a queer awakening she never really thought about. After Talanah figures herself out she'd probably meet up with Petra again to at the very least thank her and they'd just kinda, think about/go out of their way to see each other more. I'm not sure who would make the first move lol but I think after Talanah's out of her hurting phase and back to normal the doors would start to open for Petra's jokes till one day Talanah just dishes one back and is like 😳 hol up i gotta unpack that.

Had to draw @verumtee's super cute version of Beta <33

Had an idea where Beta gets into trying to reproduce the Old Ones' foods.

Would love to see what everyone else would do with this. So join in the fun with #BetaTheCook. More info below: ------------- While Beta had access to the Zenith's APOLLO database, she watched a lot of 21st century shows (including cooking shows).

Beta spends most of her time at the base and without access to the APOLLO's massive repository, she runs out of data logs to read. She reaches out to Aloy as to what she could do to help. Aloy hesitantly suggests training to eventually fight machines out in the wild. After a poor attempt, Aloy apologizes to Beta for pushing her out of her comfort zone. Aloy suggest perhaps a new hobby instead.

Beta goes to Gaia for advice and Gaia mentions some of the companions complaining about the food quality at the base. This lights up the spark of cooking for Beta, she starts with basic tools and foods. The first few attempts are decent enough, Aloy and companions compliment the food. With a new found purpose Beta digs deep in cooking.

Eventually remembering all of those 21st century shows, she mixes her interest of the Old Ones with cooking. (Think Tacos, Hot Dogs, Pizza, etc.) However she lacks ingredients and tools to pull these off. Aloy, being a great supportive sister, says she'll be on the lookout for ingredients, materials and supplies.

----- Exposition over. Think of it as side fetch quests while Aloy is out in the wild. Gathering rare ingredients, combustible materials or metals. I know some people don't like fetch quests but I do, especially if I get rewarded with some fun companion interactions. These might trigger "fruit doesn't belong on cheesy, meaty bread" or "is a hotdog a sandwich" conversations. Or maybe Beta messed it up and gets bad reviews, she gets frustrated, doubts herself or even has a panic attack over it.

Would love to see different interpretations on a potential outfit, companion reactions to Beta's foods or even just Aloy risking herself to gather the ingredients. Possibilities are endless so have fun with it. :)

Side fun note, Beta will now kind of defend herself by knocking out people with her cast iron pan.

Happy Halloween!

This was a big collaboration between myself, @verumtee, and @her-emmajesty! We all decided to draw our LWA OC’s as fairies, and put them together in one picture :) Also while we’re here, Opal & Pepper are Olivia’s Pink teammates. Eliza is basically an honorary member at this point.
