I graduated!!! I’m offially a vet tech!! ❤️❤️❤️ I graduated with honors!!
First day of my last semester tomorrow. I’ve got this!!
I’m making 1 New Years resolution, I want to be more active on Tumblr. I know I rarely post, and for that I suck. So I’m going to do my best to be more active on here and share more of my life/vet tech related things with y’all.
This is Simba. I thought there was a murderer hiding behind the shower curtain. ‘‘Twas only Sim. Thank God.
I would just like to take a moment to brag on this radiograph. I took it today with my classmates/friends and it is only the 2nd time we've taken radiographs. I think it came out beautifully. It's the left elbow (radius, ulna, humerus) of a cute little staffordshire mix.
RADIOLOGY IN A NUTSHELL
Oh. My. Goodness. So relatable!!
My favorite patient of the night!
School is really hard. Like, really hard. But I just want to encourage you to not give up. Because you should always fight for what you want. I’m three fifths done with vet tech school and it has been the most horrible, amazing, terrible, worthwhile, atrocious, rewarding year of my life. I can’t wait to be done, but I’m really glad I’m experiencing it. I look forward to graduating in May of ‘18, and becoming a CVT.
This is Nikita. She is my foster fail pup. She’s some type of pit mix. She was brought in to the clinic I was doing my work experience class at. Someone found her on the side of the road. She was 10 days old. I brought her home, bottle fed her, raised her, and today she is 10 weeks old and a whopping 20lbs. She was a little over 1lb at 10 days old.
This cutie hung out in my pocket for a while today. I love my job!!

I just really liked this.
I got to lance this huge hematoma today. It was amazing.
We sedated her and put the twitch on. I scrubbed and cleaned the area and went to opening it up. We made sure she was not actively bleeding anymore before we started as well.
About a minute in she jumped forward and proceeded to land directly in the puddle splashing me and the walls.
She’s been treated with pain meds and antibiotics. We will leave it open to drain more. And the extra skin will shrink down.
Freaking neat!
Someone brought their pit bull in because he "wasn't peeing normally" and what they meant by that was that he hadn't urinated in about 4 days. He was blocked, obviously. We inserted a urinary catheter and this is what came out. A ton of bloody urine. It got sent out to be cultured, and they did a urinalysis on it. I don't know the results of either. This is my work experience and I'm only there once a week for a few hours.
Dead. My life. lol
