150 years ago today, Charles Darwin published a puzzle - why do some dogs have droopy ears when the ears of wolves stand upright? Why is this pattern seen across many tame species? What exactly does tameness have to do with ear cartilage? Now we’re getting close to an answer that ties it all together.
