“Thor et.al. Pen, Tombow brush, pen, and India ink. 11 x 17. 2023.

Thor and characters I created during my time writing and drawing the book. One of a series of Thor drawings I've done for charity auctions. Not much of a series yet. This is only the second auction piece although I've drawn three drawings based on this composition. It'll be auctioned at the NYCCon this weekend to raise funds for St. Jude's Hospital.

Top to bottom - the Thor Frog, Beta Ray Bill, Kurse, Lorelei, and Malekith the Accursed. The background is the minion level of the Time Variance Authority. I introduced the TVA in Thor although I didn't draw the minions until I was working on the FF. At least that's how I remember it. But I thought they'd make nice wallpaper here, an idea inspired by a conversation with my Son-in-Law. Thanks, Bryant.

The TVA have also upgraded their computers. Back in 1991 or so, they were using older models more or less like some old Apple versions. Now, they've gone to flat screens. :-)”

Sonic the Hedgehog for me too, andI'm gonna reblogging again with the full story because I just remembered it. I was really young, new at the internet, and trying out the neopets forums when I saw someone had on their neopets webpage some pretty art of what looked like a blue Tails the Fox (I would later learn it was made with a dollmaker). It had a standard character description, name, likes, dislikes, backstory, etc, and I was absolutely enamored. It was like a sonic character, but it was also THEIR character who fit perfectly into the sonic universe. The concept was so new and ingenious to me.
