In ‘Sonic Unleashed’, the Light Speed Dash shoes are Golden, and made from the same material as rings.
Early design of a Krem Coin from Donkey Kong Country 2 (left) seen in a preview article for the game in an issue of the Australian Nintendo Magazine System magazine, compared to the finished version (right).
The early version shows King K. Rool's regular design, while the finished version features his Kaptain K. Rool costume. Whether this means that K. Rool did not have the Kaptain K. Rool persona from the very beginning of development, or if the coin was simply a placeholder, is unknown.

This is a list of treasures in Wario Land: Shake It!
The opening of ‘Yoshi’s Cookie’ on the SNES has some Mode 7 cookies flying all over the place. In the Nintendo Leaks we have the original asset files, and they’re a little different! Yum!
Milennium Star ‘Mario Party 3’ Nintendo 64
Waddle Doo Kirby Trophies ‘Super Smash Bros. Brawl’
The trophy for King K. Rool, from ‘Super Smash Bros. Brawl’. King K. Rool steals bananas from Donkey Kong and ends up kidnapping Diddy Kong. He is so good at playing dead that sometimes the credits even roll as he lies there, feigning defeat. Uniquely, it mentions that “His brother, Kaptain K. Rool, made an appearance in the game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest.”, rather than it being the same character.
Warp Star Kirby Trophies ‘Super Smash Bros. Brawl’
Barrels & Bananas ‘Donkey Kong Country Returns’ Nintendo Wii
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash contains an unused, seemingly unfinished medal in its files called "medal_strongest" internally. The "COM 1" text on it appears to be a placeholder.
Whatever it was intended for, this medal would apparently have been the strongest. Whether it would have been awarded for being the strongest, or depicted the strongest character, is unknown.

Unused colorful mushroom graphics found in the files of Mario Party. These were seemingly intended to be used in different minigames to provide visual variety and give each minigame its own identity, with each mushroom being found in the file structure of a different minigame (though not all feature mushrooms in them in the final version of the game).
The green mushroom corresponds to Treasure Divers, the purple one to Coin Block Bash, and the red one to Memory Match.
