This is about the only other annoying problem he needs, dealing with a woman arrogant enough to speak as though she could figure him out. At her comment, his glare simmers down slightly and he snorts in disbelief. âWhat abilities?â She doesnât even have a spiritual pressure that he can sense, and he guesses that could just be part of this fucked-up town.
âYou already had a free show,â Â he sneers, grabbing the zipper below his abdomen and pulling it up to his chest. The connecting scars still showed, but he doesnât really care about hiding anything. It had been the same way before a certain Shinigami suggested a change of outfit. For the benefit of greater abilities he canât even access right now. What is this shit?Â
âIf you wanted more than that, go ahead and try something. Better get used to not having your way. â
He isnât going to draw his sword yet, too carelessly arrogant, himself. Thereâs no need, if sheâs not even worth it. Especially not if he can handle this without having to use all of his power.
℠ is he really expecting her to disclose her abilities just because of a question? hopefully heâs not that naive. â i donât tell. â  no, she doesnât boast to that extent; she shows, demonstrates. actions speak louder than words, donât they?
℠ her good eye narrows, gaze following the zipper going up. far from discouraging her, the gesture brings a small smirk back onto her lips, barely discernible through the mask but clearly present in her voice. â such a tease. i guess you leave me no choice. â a shrug, and she reaches for the bag tied to her waist with no intent of appearing ambiguous about her intentions, grabbing a hold of her bonesaw with one hand and a set of scalpes with the other. things would be less of a hassle if she had her syringues with her, but alas, luck had hardly been on her side, and in this world, there seemed to be no exceptions.
℠ â if only you knew. â arm raising to align the scalpels with her prey in her field of vision, there is no sign of susceptibility in her talking, but the tired sigh that accompanies her words should be telling enough that having to fight for what she wants is no foreign situation for the nurse. â but i make sure i always have my way, in the end. â
℠ then, without any sort of warning, she dashes towards him, the scalpels thrown at his face meant to be a mere distraction while she eases her way behind him as fast as she can. true, itâs a pity that the rest of her weaponry seems to have not made it to this unfamiliar world, but at least her legs are still as swift as ever. it is with this thought in mind that she, now proudly standing behind him, swings her bonesaw so as to place its teeth resting on his throat, barely grazing his skin. â behave, and you might get a lollipop after. âÂ
He examines the object in his hand over and over again, sure it could be usefulâ but the weapon didnât really suit him. Plus⊠who was heard of fighting with a rusty syringe? I guessâ if you were skilled in medical supplies you would be. However, as eyes glance over at the female and his ears pick up on a threat. He hesitates for a moment, wondering whether or not sheâll just turn on him after he hands it over. On the other hand,  if he obeys, his life might be spared. â I donât really have a use for it⊠so you can have it, â heâs wary, but still hands the object over without a complaint. â Have you seen any sort of hospital around here yet? â
℠ his hesitation doesnât go unnoticed; it was, at the very least, the effect she had expected to have on the kid. after all, who in their sane mind would hand a potential weapon to someone as sketchy-looking as her? well, someone either too hopeful or too aware of their dwelling in the afterlife. but aside from him being in possession on something she has longed to feel between her fingers, she has no real interest in the male in front of her â  which really is nothing but good news for him.
℠ â good boy. â her stance relaxes just the slightest once she has the syringe in her hands, red hue immediately fixed onto the rust-covered object. itâs a pity itâs in such a condition, yet that hardly discourages her as she carefully examines it before answering the question. â i have. itâs not exactly pristine, but feel free come by for a check-up whenever. â although sheâs clearly joking (or is she?) and thereâs a hint of a chuckle hiding behind her words, the only sign of her amusement is the barely discernible shadow her upcurled lips cast behind her surgical mask.
Even if she was posing as a nurse, he didnât think that a nurse would be needed in this place since it felt anything but alive and as far as he knew, they were probably not even alive.
âI wouldnât know about that.â
A sarcastic response was all he could give back as the idea of a nurse trapped in a place as dead as this. At the womanâs question, he raised his coat to show no signs of any weapons being carried anywhere within his clothes.
âAs you can see, I donât carry weapons nor hide anything below these robes of mine.â
He said that as he carefully chose his words. He wasnât hiding anything on his clothes since he could simply summon his weapons had the need arise but even if he didnât have ill intentions to hide either, he chose to be careful for the time being on how much he revealed to this strange lady.
℠ â sure you wouldnât. â  was her response, a shrug given to accompany her words and the fact that such small talk was not high in her priority list â not that it ever was, anyway.
â„ given the chance, she didnât hesitate to examine his figure, soon realizing that he was surprisingly telling the truth. she wouldnât go so far as to deem him ânormalâ right off the bat, but there certainly was nothing about him screaming âhey, iâm hiding something that would assure you hours of funâ. perhaps that was for her to seek, although not just now. â well, that was unexpected. but so has been everything for the past few days, years, centuries? who knows. âÂ
apologies for the sudden lack of replies when i said id do them a couple days ago, but having to sit 3 exams tomorrow and getting suddenly sick have made it a bit difficult for me to write anything. then again, i should be able to get to these replies tomorrow night (if im not still dying). anyway, im gonna use this post as a thread tracker too, so please tell me if im missing anyone!!
reserveism
â„  â you know, â the nurse begins, squinting the slightest as she slowly makes her way towards the male holding a rusty syringe, â i could use that. â no hesitation in her words nor her demeanor, she halts right beside him, a hand on her waist and a gleam of threat in her eye. â and i really wouldnât want to take it by force. â
notyourdante
℠ â ooh? are those guns real or are they just for show? â and is she talking about his arms or the actual pistols he carries? the world may never know, but either way, she canât deny sheâs somewhat curious about both.
okay folks, hereâs an rp ad just as promised. starters will be of varying length (but iâm hoping most of them will be short). no cap for now because i love to die. let this nurse take care of you and by take care i mean try to dissect you probably

It hurts to be rolling on the dirt all the time, and honestly Add is unsure of what to do with the cuts on his face, dried or still fresh. He could wipe off the muck, yeah, but thereâs no way he could clean all of the blood without bandages and clean water and he has been shit outta luck on that front.
He picks at his coat, which is inevitably going to start unravelling soon if he keeps rolling in the dirt like a mutt. Maybe if he could get someone to run errands for himâŠ.
The figure crosses his field of vision is just in line with his thoughts. Forgetting temporarily that his balance is garbage at the moment, Add rises to his feet, and then immediately seizes the thin pole sticking out of the ground for support, wobbling for the two seconds he tries to balance himself. Shit.
âYou! Tell me what you know of this placeâ and where I can find a screwdriver!â
℠ she is careful in her stride, skillfully avoiding anything that would cause her to trip or dirty herself were she to miscalculate her steps â which really isnât something she can idly do considering the state of her surroundings.Â
℠ it is precisely the debris-like nature of this place what prevents the nurse from raising an eyebrow once she locates the source of the sudden voice calling out to her. young, reckless, tired â bossy. never a quality she takes kindly to. but then again, she never takes kindly to anything, or anyone for that fact.
â„  â where are your manners, child? â it is with placid pace and silent steps that she approaches the boy, a condescending glint dwelling in the red of her eyes as she gets the examine his condition from up close. â you look like you need more than just a screwdriver. â a pause. â and hardly in the position to demand anything. what do you want that thing for? âÂ
The leaning and the magic of gravity that come with it did not go unnoticed. Deep within Misogiâs filthy mind he came to the conclusion she doesnât wear a bra. Not sure when that information would be handy but knowledge is power, is it not?Â
Howevert, perverted minds seemed to think alike as the masked nurse played around with her words in a most sultry, R-18 doujin matter. Kumagawa decided to play around the subject and be as flighty as ever.
ă Iâm afraid Iâm all out of fruit. But if you so desire to sink your teeth into something fresh, my body ready. I can confirm the condition because I just got here. ă
God knows what people eat in this world, but Kumagawa is an upstanding citizen, willing to help a fellow neighbor, to some extent.Â
℠ feigning innocence now, is he? she can tell heâs being playful, at least, but thereâs no point in acting virtuous when sheâs fully aware of the way his gaze lands on her body every now and then. ultimately though, he comes off as little more than a normal young man she has no business experimenting on.
℠ the nurse straightens her back as a hand comes to rest comfortably on her hips, a soft hum leaving her lips immediately after. â maybe some other time, boy. â maybe, if she ever finds a good reason to sink her scalpelsâ teeth into his flesh. for now, however, she focuses on the new information given. â well, that makes two of us. and you seem awfully comfortable with this all.â
He doesnât believe in having died, not when he was practically already dead. But every Hollow knows it can happen; final judgment. At the back of his mind, he can still feel those lips too close, uttering ominous chants. He can still see that suffocating darkness, feeling entrapped. With confusion on his mind and agitation bristling in his chest, he walks through the dilapidated town. It looked dead, as dead as he felt before violently waking up. Needless to say, he wasnât expecting to see any living beings around. But itâs hard to tell whatâs living and whatâs not, anymore.
When a feminine voice reaches his ears, he whips his head around to see a woman in strange garb. With that hat and white outfit, she almost looks like one of the Quincy.Â
âWhatâs it matter to you, woman?â
He hadnât even sensed her, immediately putting him on alert. His expression settles into a customary glare as he turns to face her, arms loose at his sides and ready to act.Â
âYou seem awfully confident about that. â
℠ as if she was mimicking him, valentine lets her arm drop slowly to the side. of course she isnât getting a straight answer â she never does whenever she so sincerely expresses her interest in othersâ constitution. they all end up compelling her to get what she wants by means of brute force. ah, what a cruel and unfair world she dwells in.Â
℠ she fights the chuckle building at the back of her throat. â i am confident in my abilities, darling. â because really, she might look odd, she might act sketchy, she might even look weak to some, but never is she anything but ready for anything coming her way.
℠ â so, i take it youâre not going to let me take a peek? â her gaze drops dramatically to the ground for a second, a hand coming to rest on her chest â and she looks genuinely sad, though only for a moment. itâs just a matter of seconds before she has both her hands at her sides again, giving the male an impassive stare. â how ungentlemanly of you. â

âThatâs a pretty fuckinâ sweet eyepatch!â
It was a good thing Zed hadnât yelled any louder, otherwise he would have had some serious impact. âHowâd ya lose the eye? Worm pop it out? That happened to me once. Ha! You oughta see that piece of shit now!â She probably wouldnât want to see that worm. No one wanted to see that worm. âWhatâs with the hospital mask and slutty nurse costume though? Is it some kind of fucked up ritual to dress like a dumb skeeze where youâre from?â She didnât look all that tough. Zed figured if he could rough her up a bit, itâd be more fun decorating his microphone with her.
℠ she had stumbled upon a peculiar one, hadnât she? it wouldnât take a genius to realize so; the fact that he found her eyepatch âcoolâ was enough of a clue. and, for better or worse, the loss of her eye was something far more complicated than just a worm forcefully claiming that cavity â and that was hardly something she was willing to disclose to a stranger.
℠ the insults had just about the same effect on her as the previous compliment: none. still, that didnât mean she would just stand there to take it all in stride.
℠ â have you looked at yourself in a mirror recently, hun? â stoic as ever, valentine squinted ever so slightly, tilting her head to the side. there was this... bizarre aura surrounding him, she could feel. he was no ordinary blockhead; she would have bet her good eye on it. â i am a nurse, clearly. â and she straightened her back as if to highlight the form of her uniform and the crosses adorning it. an unnecessary gesture, but fitting to her words nonetheless. â and that worm story has got this nurse wondering what you are. â voice firm yet sultry, valentine dared take a step towards him.Â
â all of them soon will be rotten || valentine â

Tirelessly, tirelessly, she kept moving on, to find ways to understand the place she was in.
Let us open the gates to ParadiseâŠ
That was one last sentence she could recall from the incantations prior to regaining her consciousness. What could it mean, what did it mean, she longed to find â perhaps by meeting more of the humans who found themselves in a situation just as hers.Â
Simply put, it should be similar for everybody, considering the fact that this town appears abandoned. There was simply no logical conclusion if she was to assume that there had been people here previously.
However, it would not be right to assume that they had all shared the same dream she had.
Admittedly, it would still be odd for her to have been the only one to experience such. Again, she had fallen into another pit of musings during her walk. It was different, then and now. She had to be careful. This was no warzone, and she had no authority to command her.
That would mean that everything she was going to act upon would be to survive.
ââ?â
Crunch.
She followed the trail of something that caught her interest, walking on dried leaves that seemed to crunch every time she stepped forward. It was a movement, but hardly was it to run or provoke. It was deliberate, almost like hers, seeking for something.
Although Selvaria could never be as sure regarding their intentions.
ââŠâ
Taking in the sight of their clothing, Selvaria could hardly speak of anything. It felt out of place for Asphodel Valley, but similarly, so was she. There was simply no sign of military in this town, yet Selvaria was donning the uniform she had worn with pride to display her loyalty and rank.
âWhat is a nurse like you doing outside their workplace?â
℠ this place was intriguing, to say the least. plenty of space to navigate around and explore, very little life (if it could even be called that anymore) in it, if any at all. she couldnât say she didnât enjoy that peace, the silence that befell her surroundings save for when she intentionally broke it; but, in all honesty, this could become really boring really fast. to a certain extent, that might be why she deliberately left stealth aside and made herself present, perhaps in hopes of attracting some prey.
℠ and her wait wasnât long, which she was grateful for. the ghost of a smile blossomed on her face at the sound of a feminine voice addressing her. hands on her hips, the nurse turned around to face the female opposite. hm. some people really needed to learn that appearances could be deceiving. she wasnât just a nurse.
℠ â hospitalâs not hiring right now. â she finally answered, mocking tone in her voice never meant to be muffled by her mask. the nurse was not exactly discreet about it, and made the approaching stranger subject to her scrutiny. her presence was unmistakably strong, and her clothes â something akin to a military uniform â told her she might have been some high command in her past life. good enough for a first impression. â what about you? havenât found yourself some minions to order around yet? âÂ
livingjaguar
℠ it has taken her some time, but it seems that she has finally found something â someone to her liking.
℠ â my, my... thatâs quite the body youâve got there. â from the piece of jawbone clinging to his cheek to the large scar running across his torso, his muscular physique speaks of endless possibilities for the nurseâs scalpels to go wild and let their mistress have the twisted fun she hasnât had in a long, long while. â youâre gonna have to tell me how you got that done. â a gloved finger points to the hole adorning the manâs belly, her only eye now fixed onto clear blue. â or i could just find out myself. â
unxdeadlyâ
℠ if she wasnât dead, the irony of the situation would have killed her. certain experiences have taught her not to get attached, and yet she feels the cathedral calling to her even though the memories the enormous building evokes are anything but pleasant. faith is not her thing, and had the circumstances been different, she wouldnât have had a reason to enter the place; but the damaged walls feel oddly welcoming this time.
℠ she deems it a simple reconnaissance mission, an unhealthy indulgement in masochistic curiosity â because, really, thereâs nothing about the cathedral that doesnât remind the nurse about prior mistakes. however, it is reassuring to confirm that this church looks nothing like the one she was previously tied to.
℠ it is while at the altar that she feels another presence breaking the silence that reigned the place seconds ago, breaking her train of thought with the slight sound of their movements. valentine turns on her heels, though not completely; only until she can observe the intruder from the corner of her eye.Â
â„  â have you come to give confession? â her voice dances with the slightest hint of a smile in it, the gesture completely hidden behind the surgical mask covering her lips.
cryptologics
℠ she feels mocked, honestly. whoever is following her is not only doing a lousy job, but also letting her know about it. she has tried ignoring the hesitant and careless steps tracking her own in hopes that her pursuer would either give up or show themselves. but the nurseâs patience wears thin, and she doesnât take kindly to people wasting her time.
℠ it is with an unfitting placid manner that she halts, not even bothering to turn around and perhaps catch the stalker off guard. a sigh builds at the back of her throat, her voice stern and low.
℠ â youâve got a lot to learn about stealth. â
vialhazardsÂ
Archer had been summoned as a counter-guardian by the world so many times that he had traveled to many eras and had seen many kinds of nurses, however, the one in front of him looked far from a traditional one. In fact, heâd go as far as to say she looked so sketchy that he doubted she was an actual nurse.
âLooks like this place is gonna have of all kinds of odd people..â
â„ the comments on her appearance usually went in one ear and out the other, for the nurse was plenty aware of her strange looks. even back in canopy where odd is commonplace, people still thought it necessary to enlighten her about her image â but that was fine. it was part of the persona behind which she hid, after all.
℠ she looked the stranger up and down in a somewhat daring manner, taking her sweet time before responding. â fitting for such a place, donât you think? â hips leaning to the side, a hand came to comfortable rest on her waist. â youâre quite flashy yourself. whatâs that armour hiding? âÂ
